Role Description This is a full-time, in office role for a Motor Claim Surveyor based in Delhi, India.

The Motor Claim

Surveyor is responsible for inspecting damaged vehicles, assessing the extent of loss, and documenting findings through detailed reports and photographs. The role involves verifying claim details, estimating repair costs, coordinating with garages and service centers, and ensuring that assessments align with company and regulatory guidelines. The individual will communicate with claim handlers, customers, and other stakeholders to clarify assessments, resolve queries, and support fair and timely claim settlements.

Surveyor is also expected to maintain accurate records, adhere to safety standards, and contribute to process improvements in the claims assessment workflow.

- Strong technical knowledge of motor vehicles, including repair processes, parts, and bodywork, with the ability to accurately assess damage and estimate repair costs.
- Experience in insurance claim assessment, surveyor work, or motor loss adjusting, with familiarity with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Proficiency in documentation and reporting, including preparing clear survey reports, capturing photographic evidence, and using basic office and claims software.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with customers, garages, insurers, and internal teams in a professional manner.
- Attention to detail, analytical thinking, and sound judgment to support fair and consistent claim evaluations.
- Ability to work on-site, manage field visits, and handle multiple cases while meeting deadlines.
- Relevant diploma or degree in automotive engineering, mechanical engineering, or a related field; professional certification as a surveyor or assessor is an advantage.
- Prior experience in the automotive or insurance sector in India is preferred, along with a good understanding of local market practices.
