Mobile Testing Engineer / QA Engineer (Mobile Applications)

Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented Mobile Testing Engineer to ensure the quality, performance, and reliability of mobile applications across Android and iOS platforms. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing test scenarios, executing manual and automated tests, identifying defects, and collaborating with development teams to deliver high-quality mobile applications.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and execute test cases, test plans, and test scripts for mobile applications.
- Perform functional, regression, integration, usability, compatibility, and performance testing.
- Test mobile applications across multiple devices, operating systems, screen sizes, and network conditions.
- Identify, document, track, and verify software defects using defect management tools.
- Work closely with developers, product owners, and business stakeholders to understand requirements and ensure quality delivery.
- Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies including sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
- Develop and maintain automated test scripts for mobile applications.
- Validate API integrations and backend services supporting mobile applications.
- Ensure application compliance with security, accessibility, and performance standards.




- Prepare test reports and provide quality status updates to stakeholders.

Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of Mobile Application Testing for Android and iOS platforms.
- Experience in Manual Testing methodologies and SDLC/STLC processes.
- Hands-on experience with defect tracking tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, or Bugzilla.
- Experience with API testing tools such as Postman or Swagger.
- Positive understanding of Agile methodologies.
- Knowledge of mobile device testing, emulators, simulators, and real-device testing.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.

Preferred Skills
- Experience with mobile automation tools such as:
- Appium
- Selenium
- Espresso (Android)
- XCUITest (iOS)
- Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or GitHub Actions.
- Knowledge of performance testing tools and mobile testing frameworks.
- Understanding of cloud device platforms such as BrowserStack, Sauce Labs, or LambdaTest.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 4 -10 years of experience in Mobile Application Testing.
- ISTQB certification is an added advantage.

Experience : 4 to 10years years with mobile automation and test strategy experience This JD can be customized for Manual Mobile Tester, Mobile Automation Tester, or Senior Mobile QA Lead roles.
