Job Summary

We are looking for a qualified and detail-oriented Medical Record Officer to manage the Medical Records Department in our Super Speciality Hospital at Bilaspur, Chhattisgarh. The candidate will ensure accurate documentation, compliance with NABH standards (IMS), confidentiality of patient records, and efficient record management processes.

Key Responsibilities

Ensure completeness and accuracy of IPD/OPD medical records as per NABH guidelines Supervise filing, indexing, storage, and retrieval of physical and electronic records Maintain strict confidentiality and handle medico-legal records as per statutory norms

Oversee ICD coding of diagnoses and procedures

Coordinate with billing and insurance departments for documentation requirements

Conduct internal documentation audits and support NABH accreditation activities





Ensure proper usage and compliance of HIS/EMR systems

Supervise MRD staff and maintain departmental SOPs

Education

Bachelor s in Medical Record Science / Health Information Management / Hospital Administration OR

Graduate with Diploma in Medical Record Technology (DMRT)

Experience

Minimum 2 years of experience in Medical Records Department

Experience in NABH-accredited hospital preferred

Required Skills

Knowledge of NABH standards (Information Management System IMS)

ICD coding proficiency

Familiarity with Hospital Information System (HIS) / EMR

Valuable communication and organizational skills

High level of integrity and attention to detail
