Department: Medical Operations

Location: Motherhood Hospital, Saravanampatti, Coimbatore

Qualification: MBBS – Mandatory

Experience: 2–5 years of experience in hospital/clinical operations preferred

Reports To: Medical Superintendent / Head of Medical Operations

Key Responsibilities

- Manage and coordinate medical services to ensure delivery of high-quality patient care in line with established service quality standards.
- Monitor clinical and other established indicators to ensure continuous quality assurance and improvement.
- Ensure implementation and adherence to SOPs across all clinical specialties and conduct regular medical audits.
- Ensure strict compliance with organizational policies and regulations, particularly those related to infection control, patient safety, JCI/NABH standards, and clinical quality.
- Ensure appropriate Standard Operating Procedures are established and followed for efficient patient care, including admission, treatment, care, transfer, and discharge.
- Set up and ensure the regular functioning of clinical and non-clinical committees in consultation with the Medical Superintendent.
- Support Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) initiatives and actively participate in quality assurance activities.
- Work closely with the Nursing Superintendent to ensure high standards of patient care and smooth coordination between medical and nursing teams.
- Ensure continuity of patient care by monitoring the preparation and adherence to duty rosters for Medical Officers, Technicians, and Paramedical Staff, and coordinate with the Nursing Superintendent regarding nursing staff.
- Participate in and contribute to in-service training programs, including ACLS, BLS, CNEs, CMEs, conferences, and other clinical training programs as required.
- Maintain effective interpersonal relationships with department staff, associates, consultants, and management.
- Maintain strict confidentiality of patient, employee,



and organizational information as per hospital policies.
- Demonstrate effective communication and active listening skills while interacting with patients, staff, consultants, and management.
- Develop a thorough understanding of hospital policies, procedures, and protocols and ensure compliance across the medical services.
- Coordinate with the Emergency Team for all medico-legal cases received at the hospital and ensure appropriate documentation and escalation.
- Coordinate with the Marketing Team for organizing medical camps, CMEs, awareness programs, and other medical initiatives within and outside the hospital.
- Coordinate with the HR Team for recruitment of medical/clinical staff and facilitate their induction and orientation.
- Monitor operational challenges within medical services and escalate critical issues to the Medical Superintendent/Head of Department.
- Carry out any other duties and responsibilities assigned by the Head of Department / Medical Superintendent.

- Positive understanding of NABH/JCI standards, patient safety, infection control, and quality management.
- Strong coordination and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to work effectively with doctors, nurses, paramedical teams, and hospital management.
- Good leadership and decision-making skills.
- Strong understanding of clinical documentation and medical audits.
- Patient-centric approach with a focus on quality and service excellence.

Candidate Profile
- MBBS degree is mandatory.
- Valid medical registration is required.
- Prior experience in hospital administration, medical operations, clinical coordination, or a similar role will be preferred.
- Candidates with experience in women & child healthcare / maternity hospitals will be an added advantage.
