Role Description The Medical Coding Trainer will conduct classroom and practical training sessions for learners enrolled in medical coding programs in the Pune Division. This full-time, on-site role involves designing and delivering lesson plans, presentations, and assessments aligned with current medical coding standards and guidelines. The trainer will explain medical terminology, coding rules, and healthcare documentation, and guide learners through coding exercises, case studies, and real-world scenarios.





Responsibilities include evaluating learner performance, providing constructive feedback, maintaining training records, and collaborating with academic coordinators to update course content. The trainer will also support learners in exam preparation, professional development, and readiness for entry-level roles in medical coding.

Qualifications

- Demonstrated Medical Coding and Coding Experience, preferably with exposure to standard coding systems (e.g., ICD, CPT, HCPCS).
- Knowledge of Health Information Management and RHIT or equivalent professional certifications.
- Strong understanding of Medical Terminology and healthcare documentation practices.
- Prior experience as a trainer, instructor, or mentor in healthcare or related fields.
- Bachelor’s degree in a healthcare, life sciences, or related discipline; advanced credentials in medical coding are an advantage.
- Effective communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly to diverse learners.
- Proficiency in using digital tools for training, assessments, and content delivery.
- Ability to work on-site in Pune Division and collaborate with academic and placement teams.
