Role Description The Medical Coding Trainer is a full-time, on-site role based in the Pune Division. This role involves delivering classroom and practical training sessions on medical coding, medical terminology, and health information management principles to learners at various proficiency levels. The trainer will design and update training materials, lesson plans, and assessments aligned with industry standards and certification requirements, including RHIT and other relevant credentials.

Daily responsibilities include evaluating learner performance, providing constructive feedback, conducting doubt-clearing sessions,



and supporting learners in developing coding accuracy and compliance with regulatory guidelines.

The Medical Coding

Trainer will collaborate with the academic and placement teams to maintain course quality, ensure training outcomes, and support learners in becoming job-ready medical coders.

Qualifications

- Coding Experience and Medical Coding skills, with strong knowledge of current coding standards and guidelines.
- Background in Health Information Management, including understanding of healthcare documentation and data integrity.
- Proficiency in Medical Terminology relevant to multiple specialties and clinical scenarios.
- RHIT or similar professional certification, or eligibility/preparation for such credentials.
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Health Information Management, Life Sciences, Nursing, Pharmacy, or a related healthcare field.
- Prior experience as a trainer, mentor, or educator in medical coding or healthcare education is highly beneficial.
- Robust communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly to diverse learners.
- Ability to design structured training modules, assessments, and learning materials using digital tools.
- Attention to detail, analytical ability, and commitment to accuracy and compliance in coding practices.
- Willingness to work on-site in Pune Division and collaborate with cross-functional academic and placement teams.
