ROLE PURPOSE

Own mechanical engineering and project-control work across industrial recycling facilities and property developments, covering design, equipment specification, procurement, installation, testing and commissioning. Coordinate consultants, contractors, suppliers, operations, maintenance and other engineering disciplines to ensure secure, timely, cost-controlled and technically compliant project delivery.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES & EXPECTED OUTCOMES

- Develop mechanical engineering concepts, layouts, specifications and equipment requirements.
- Review engineering calculations, technical specifications, method statements and equipment datasheets.
- Engineer and coordinate conveyors, hoppers, feeders, loading and unloading systems, storage systems and associated mechanical packages.
- Coordinate process-equipment installation, integration, testing and commissioning.
- Evaluate equipment capacity, throughput, energy consumption, reliability and maintainability.
- Coordinate mechanical services with architectural, structural, electrical, civil and M&E; consultants.
- Review contractor submissions, shop drawings, material approvals and technical proposals.
- Monitor mechanical installation works for compliance with approved drawings, specifications, quality and safety requirements.
- Develop work breakdown structures, baseline schedules,



milestone plans and resource-loaded programs using Primate P6 and/or MS Project.
- Collect and validate site progress, update weekly and monthly programs, and issue look-ahead plans, S-curves and concise dashboards.
- Monitor critical path, float, dependencies, procurement lead times and forecast completion; escalate risks before milestones are affected.
- Facilitate planning reviews with consultants, contractors, vendors and internal teams, recording recovery actions and responsible owners.
- Support delay analysis, extension-of-time reviews, project controls and management decision-making with traceable schedule evidence.

Requirements CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or an equivalent engineering discipline.
- Minimum 4 years of mechanical engineering and project-execution experience in industrial, construction or multidisciplinary projects.
- Ability to interpret drawings, BOQs, technical specifications, procurement lead times, quantities and construction sequencing.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD; knowledge of SolidWorks, Revit or other engineering software is advantageous.
- Clear communication and willingness to be based in West Tambaram, Chennai and travel to Madurai and other project sites.
