Position: Mechanical Engineer – BOBRN (Mechanism)

Location: Andal, West Bengal – CHP Plant

Job Responsibilities

- Supervise and coordinate mechanical maintenance activities related to BOBRN wagon unloading systems.
- Inspect, operate, and maintain BOBRN mechanisms and associated mechanical equipment.
- Plan and execute preventive and breakdown maintenance activities.
- Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic system failures.
- Inspect cylinders, valves, linkages, pins, bearings, gearboxes, and other mechanical components.
- Monitor equipment performance and identify potential breakdowns.
- Ensure proper lubrication, alignment, and condition of mechanical components.
- Coordinate with technicians, fitters, operators, and CHP operations teams.
- Ensure maintenance work is completed safely, efficiently, and within the planned schedule.
- Maintain maintenance reports, checklists, breakdown records, and equipment history.
- Follow approved maintenance procedures, quality standards, and plant safety requirements.
- Ensure compliance with work permits, PPE requirements, and site safety procedures.
- Support the team during major shutdowns,



inspections, and emergency breakdown maintenance.

Qualification
- Diploma in Mechanical Engineering (DOM) – Mandatory.
- Mechanical Engineering candidates with relevant CHP/BOBRN experience will be preferred.
- Knowledge of BOBRN, wagon unloading systems, conveyors, hydraulic systems, and bulk material handling equipment will be an advantage.

Experience
- Experience in CHP, power plant, coal handling, railway wagon unloading, or heavy industrial mechanical maintenance preferred.
- Candidates with relevant mechanical maintenance experience will be given preference.

Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of mechanical maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Basic knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
- Ability to read and understand mechanical drawings.
- Good team coordination and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of industrial safety and maintenance procedures.
- Ability to work in shifts and under plant-site conditions.

Key Requirement Diploma in Mechanical Engineering (DOM) is mandatory.

BOBRN/CHP mechanical maintenance experience will be an added advantage.

Pay: ₹20,745.50 - ₹25,195.32 per month
