THE CAD COMPANY is looking for a skilled and versatile Mechanical CAD & CAE Engineer to join our engineering team.

This role is ideal for an engineer who can independently work across mechanical design and engineering simulation, taking projects from initial requirements through CAD development, CAE analysis, design optimization, and final technical documentation.

ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIESMechanical CAD & Design

- Develop detailed 3D CAD models, assemblies, and engineering drawings.
- Design and modify mechanical components and systems based on engineering requirements.
- Apply DFM/DFA, tolerancing, material, and manufacturing considerations.
- Perform design iterations, optimization, and engineering modifications.
- Develop manufacturing-ready design documentation.

CAE / FEA

- Prepare CAD geometry for FEA/CAE analysis.
- Perform geometry cleanup, meshing, material definition, contacts, loads, and boundary conditions.
- Conduct relevant structural, thermal, modal, fatigue, buckling, and CFD analyses based on project requirements.
- Work with ANSYS Mechanical, ANSYS Fluent, Abaqus, Altair HyperWorks, Simcenter, or equivalent CAE platforms.
- Review and validate mesh quality and simulation methodology.

Analysis & Design Optimization

- Interpret simulation results and identify critical design areas.
- Provide engineering recommendations based on analysis results.
- Modify CAD designs based on CAE findings and perform iterative re-analysis.
- Optimize designs for strength, weight, performance, manufacturability, and cost.
- Validate final designs against project requirements.

Project & Technical Documentation

- Take ownership of projects from requirement to final design.




- Prepare qualified engineering and simulation reports.
- Communicate technical findings and recommendations to clients and engineering teams.
- Maintain accurate project documentation and design revisions.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical / Automobile / Aerospace Engineering or a related field.
- 2+ years of professional experience in CAD and CAE/FEA.
- Strong hands-on experience with professional 3D CAD software such as SolidWorks, CATIA, Creo, NX, Inventor, or equivalent.
- Practical experience with FEA/CAE software, preferably ANSYS.
- Strong understanding of mechanical design, engineering mechanics, FEA fundamentals, and manufacturing processes.
- Ability to independently interpret simulation results and translate them into practical design improvements.
- Strong problem-solving and technical communication skills.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATEWe are looking for an individual engineer capable of handling both CAD and CAE, rather than a candidate specializing in only one area.

WORK MODEPrimarily Remote

Occasional onsite requirements at Chennai and Bengaluru, depending on project requirements.

COMPENSATION₹25000+ monthly in-hand
