Job Summary

Toshiba JSW Power Systems is seeking a skilled Measurement Inspection Engineer with strong expertise in Inside Micrometer measurements for inspection of critical turbine and generator components. The candidate will be responsible for performing precise dimensional inspections of bores, internal diameters, and machined features to ensure compliance with engineering drawings, tolerances, and quality requirements.

Key Responsibilities

- Perform dimensional inspection using Inside Micrometers for large and precision-machined components.

- Measure and verify

- Internal diameters (ID)

- Bearing housings

- Bore dimensions

- Cylindrical components

- Turbine and generator parts
- Interpret engineering drawings, tolerances, and inspection requirements.
- Conduct in-process and final dimensional inspections.
- Ensure measurements conform to specified tolerances and quality standards.
- Prepare and maintain inspection records and dimensional reports.
- Identify dimensional deviations and coordinate corrective actions with production teams.
- Verify instrument calibration status before inspection activities.
- Support customer, third-party, and internal quality audits.




- Follow established quality, safety, and inspection procedures.

Required Skills
- Strong hands-on experience in Inside Micrometer measurement and inspection.
- Ability to accurately measure large bore diameters and precision machined components.
- Good understanding of engineering drawings and tolerances.
- Knowledge of measurement techniques and inspection practices.
- Familiarity with calibration and handling of precision measuring instruments.
- Experience in heavy engineering, turbine, generator, or precision machining industries preferred.

Qualification
- Diploma in Mechanical Engineering (DME) or B.E./B.Tech Mechanical Engineering.

Experience
- 35 years of experience in dimensional inspection.
- Hands-on experience with Inside Micrometers in manufacturing or heavy engineering environments.
- Experience in power equipment, turbines, generators, or large machined components will be an added advantage.
