Role Overview

As a Business Growth & Market Research Intern, you will support the business and marketing teams in identifying market opportunities, understanding customer needs, analysing competitors, generating potential leads, and supporting strategic growth initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct market research to identify industry trends, customer needs, and emerging opportunities.

Perform competitor analysis, including competitor products, pricing, positioning, marketing activities, and market presence.

Support lead generation by identifying and researching potential customers, distributors, business partners, and market segments.

Collect and analyse customer insights to understand customer preferences, pain points, and buying behaviour.

Assist the team in developing business growth strategies and market-entry initiatives.

Conduct new product research and identify potential product opportunities based on market demand.

Prepare market research reports, competitor comparison reports, and business presentations.

Maintain and organize market and competitor databases.

Support the Business Growth and Marketing teams with data-driven recommendations.

Track relevant industry developments and provide regular updates to the team.

Educational Qualification

MBA students/graduates – Marketing, Business Management, or related specialization

BBA students/graduates

B.Com students/graduates

Students from related business/commerce backgrounds with strong interest in marketing and business research

Required Skills

Solid interest in Marketing, Business Growth, and Market Research

Good research and analytical skills

Ability to collect, organize, and interpret information

Basic understanding of business and marketing concepts

Good communication and interpersonal skills

Proficiency in MS Excel / Google Sheets

Ability to prepare basic reports and presentations

Attention to detail

Willingness to learn and take ownership of assigned tasks

Preferred Skills

Basic knowledge of digital marketing

Understanding of competitor/market analysis

Experience with online research tools

Basic data analysis skills
