Job Title: Marine and QHSE Superintendent
Location: Andheri East, Mumbai
Reporting To: Head – QHSE
Company: Bravo Ship Management Pvt Ltd.
Job Summary:
We are seeking a qualified and motivated Marine and QHSE Superintendent to support our growing fleet operations. The ideal candidate will be a Master Mariner with 2–4 years of shore-based experience in QHSE and marine compliance within the ship management or maritime industry. The role involves ensuring safe and compliant vessel operations in line with statutory regulations, industry best practices, and company standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and support vessel compliance with the International Safety Management (ISM) Code, ISO standards, flag state, and port state requirements.
- Conduct internal audits, navigational assessments, and safety inspections onboard vessels.
- Assist in accident/incident investigations and ensure timely closure of non-conformities and corrective actions.
- Coordinate safety campaigns, drills, and training programs for vessels and shore staff.
- Promote a strong safety culture across the fleet and proactively contribute to continuous improvement of the QHSE system.
- Analyze QHSE performance data, generate reports, and present findings to management.
- Liaise with classification societies, flag states, and relevant maritime authorities when required.
- Support the development and updating of manuals,
risk assessments, and procedures.
- Participate in Management Reviews and QHSE system audits.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Certificate of Competency – Master (Foreign Going).
- 2–4 years of relevant experience in a Marine/QHSE Superintendent role in a ship management or maritime organization.
- Strong understanding of ISM/ISPS/MLC codes, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 standards.
- Experience in auditing, incident investigation, and root cause analysis.
- Proficient in MS Office and familiar with QHSE software/tools.
