Position Summary: The QA QC Mechanical Engineer (specialised in Static/Rotary) is responsible for ensuring the quality and compliance of mechanical systems and components throughout the design, production, and construction phases of projects. This role involves inspecting, testing, and reviewing mechanical equipment, static (like vessels, tanks, columns etc) and rotary (compressors, heat exchangers, shafts, motors etc) vibrations, and processes to ensure they meet required specifications, standards, and regulatory guidelines as per codes ASME-VIII. The QA QC Mechanical Engineer will play a vital role in maintaining the highest standards of quality and operational excellence.

- Quality Assurance & Control:
- Develop and implement quality assurance (QAPs) and control procedures & ITPs for mechanical systems (exclusively in static/rotary) and equipment.
- Ensure that all mechanical works (exclusively in static/rotary) are carried out according to industry standards, project specifications, and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct inspections and audits of mechanical systems (exclusively in static/rotary), processes, to ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Monitor and assess the quality of components used in static/rotary systems.

- Testing and Inspections:

- Perform regular inspections and tests on static/rotary systems, components, and installations.
- Review design drawings (Isometric drawings of the static/rotary systems) verticality of static systems, and technical documents to verify compliance with specifications.
- Identify and document defects or non-conformance issues, working with relevant teams to resolve them.




- Ensure static/rotary systems undergo proper testing, including pressure tests, performance tests, and functional tests.
- Inspecting orientation of the vessel, baseplate dimensions, and bolt dimensions aligned with holes.

- Documentation and Reporting:

- Prepare detailed reports on inspection findings, test results, and corrective actions.
- Maintain accurate records of inspections, audits, and test results.
- Ensure all quality documentation is up to date and accessible for review by internal and external parties.
- Ensure that all non-conformance reports (NCRs) are properly tracked and resolved.

- Collaboration and Coordination:

- Work closely with design, engineering, electrical, and construction teams to ensure quality standards are met throughout all phases of a project.
- Coordinate with external vendors and suppliers to ensure materials and equipment meet quality standards.
- Provide support during audits, site visits, and inspections by regulatory bodies.

- Continuous Improvement:

- Propose and implement continuous improvement initiatives for quality assurance processes in mechanical engineering.
- Keep up to date with new industry standards, regulations, and quality tools.

- Safety and Compliance:





- Ensure all static/rotary activities comply with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Conduct safety audits and ensure adherence to safety protocols during inspections and testing activities.

Qualifications:

- Bachelors degree in mechanical engineering (majorly in static/rotary systems) wing or a related field.
- Preferably to have electrical engineering background
- Proven experience in quality assurance and quality control in mechanical engineering (majorly in static/rotary systems).
- Knowledge of mechanical design, fabrication, and installation processes.
- Familiarity with industry standards such as ASME, ISO, ASTM, and other relevant codes.
- Strong understanding of testing and inspection methods for mechanical systems.
- Proficiency in using QA/QC software and tools.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work in a team workplace.

Desired Skills:

- Certification in quality control (e.g., Six Sigma, ISO 9001).
- Experience with static/rotary systems.
- Familiarity with project management and scheduling software.

Work Environment:

- This position may involve working on-site at construction or manufacturing locations and may require occasional travel.
