JOB PURPOSE The Manager of Product Development is responsible forproviding technical leadership and expertise for developing and supporting newand existing software products within Custom Application Research &Development; (CARD) at HCA Healthcare. This individual will analyze businessrequirements, perform design tasks, construct, test, and cloud-native implementsolutions in an agile development environment, and provide mentorship to otherdevelopers.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES

DevelopmentStandards: Ensure that staff engineers adhere to HCA Healthcare's establishedstandards and procedures for development activities. This includes maintainingcode and version control through the specified application developmentsoftware.

ProjectManagement: Lead and manage development projects from inception through toimplementation. This involves overseeing the entire project lifecycle,including planning, elaboration, development, testing, and deployment.

Testingand Reviews: Ensure that employees complete unit testing for their code andparticipate in peer/code reviews of other developers' work to maintainhigh-quality standards.

UserSupport: Provide advanced troubleshooting and user support, working directlywith end users at all levels of the organization to resolve issues and improveuser experience.

PerformanceMetrics: Establish baseline key performance indicators (KPIs) and gatherrelevant operating metrics to evaluate the impact of new technology adoptionbefore and after implementation.

ProcessImprovement: Identify and implement process changes that enhance technologyadoption. This includes adding, changing, or removing processes as necessary.





Training:Conduct training sessions and ensure that relevant training is provided to helpemployees adopt new technologies effectively.

SoftwareDevelopment Lifecycle: Lead the software development lifecycle process forprojects aimed at stabilizing, enhancing, and expanding the capabilities CARDteam.

RequirementGathering: Gather requirements from the product owner and other businessstakeholders. This includes authoring stories with solid acceptance criteria,prioritizing stories, accepting or rejecting stories, coordinating with othertechnical teams, and removing team roadblocks.

StaffManagement: Manage all staff members involved in the software developmentprocess, including developers, business analysts, quality assurance, andsupport personnel.

ApplicationSupport: Manage ongoing application support by ensuring that support ticketsare assigned to team members appropriately and completed in a manner that meetsor exceeds predefined service level agreements (SLAs).

AgilePrinciples: Evangelize and implement Agile development principles across theentire CARD department and other HCA Healthcare stakeholders to improvedevelopment processes and outcomes.

TechnologyEvaluation: In cooperation with HCA Healthcare architects, evaluate allproposed innovative technologies for departmental use and organizational fit.

Collaboration:Collaborate with corporate and divisional leadership, client executives,clients, and project managers to schedule, staff, and deliver applicationenhancements.

JOBSPECIFICATIONS





B.Tech or bachelors degree in information technology, computer science orrelated fields.

Overall,1015 years of experience.

5-7yearsof experience in Managing product development lifecycles, user testing,interaction design, and Agile development.

3+years of team management experience.

People Management:

Managementof staff, lead and implemented projects.

Staffmeetings, resource allocation management, performance reviews, time management,PTO, employee development planning, and mentoring.

Technical Skills:

Hands-onexperience building cloud native .NET applications (GCP is preferred).

Strongknowledge in leading front-end (React JS or Angular), back-end, databasedevelopers.

Familiaritywith Lean/Agile techniques in development workplace.

Knowledgeof version control tools like GitHub, Azure Repos.

Knowledgeof Project & Service management tool like Jira, Azure DevOps and MSProjects

Excellentproblem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to make data-drivendecisions.

Strongcommunication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborateeffectively with cross-functional teams. Experience in the healthcare industryis a plus.
