Position: Manager – Costing & Procurement

Location: Malleswaram, Bangalore

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Manager – Costing & Procurement with robust experience in the interior design, fit-out, and execution industry. The candidate will be responsible for managing project costing, estimation, procurement, vendor management, commercial negotiations, and cost control. The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of interior materials, market pricing, BOQs, project costing, vendor networks, subcontracting, and procurement processes.

Key Responsibilities

1. Costing & Estimation

- Lead the preparation and review of detailed project cost estimates based on drawings, BOQs, specifications, and project requirements.
- Review quantities, material specifications, labour costs, installation costs, subcontractor costs, logistics, and other project expenses.
- Analyse project drawings and BOQs to identify costing requirements and potential commercial risks.
- Review and validate cost estimates prepared by the team.
- Develop accurate project budgets and ensure alignment with approved commercial targets.
- Identify cost-saving and value-engineering opportunities without compromising quality.
- Support the Business Development team in preparing commercial proposals and project quotations.
- Conduct cost benchmarking and market price analysis for major materials and services.

2. Procurement Management

- Lead the end-to-end procurement process for interior projects.
- Develop and implement procurement strategies based on project requirements, budgets, and timelines.
- Plan procurement schedules in coordination with Project and Site teams.
- Ensure timely procurement and delivery of materials to project sites.
- Review and approve purchase requirements, quotations, comparative statements,



and purchase orders as per company approval processes.
- Monitor procurement progress and take corrective action for delays or cost escalations.
- Ensure materials purchased meet approved specifications, quality standards, and project requirements.

3. Vendor & Subcontractor Management

- Develop, evaluate, and maintain a strong network of vendors, suppliers, and subcontractors.
- Identify new vendors based on quality, pricing, capacity, reliability, and delivery performance.
- Negotiate pricing, payment terms, credit periods, delivery schedules, and commercial conditions.
- Conduct regular vendor performance evaluations.
- Build long-term strategic relationships with key suppliers and subcontractors.
- Ensure competitive pricing through multiple vendor quotations and market benchmarking.
- Resolve vendor-related commercial, quality, and delivery issues.

4. Commercial & Cost Control

- Monitor project costs against approved budgets and commercial targets.
- Track material and procurement costs and identify variations at an early stage.
- Review project cost overruns and recommend corrective actions.
- Monitor material price fluctuations and their impact on project profitability.
- Ensure procurement decisions support project margins and profitability.
- Prepare and present regular cost and procurement reports to management.
- Support project teams in controlling wastage, material consumption, and unnecessary expenses.




- Maintain accurate costing and procurement records for management review and audits.

5. Team Management

- Lead and manage the Costing and Procurement team.
- Allocate responsibilities and monitor team performance.
- Review and validate costing, quotations, comparative statements, and procurement activities prepared by team members.
- Train and develop team members on costing, negotiation, procurement processes, and interior materials.
- Establish standard processes, formats, and controls for costing and procurement activities.
- Set performance targets and ensure timely completion of team deliverables.

6. Cross-Functional Coordination

- Work closely with Design, Projects, Site, Business Development, Finance, and Operations teams.
- Participate in project kick-off and commercial review meetings.
- Coordinate with project teams to understand material requirements, specifications, timelines, and site conditions.
- Ensure procurement decisions are aligned with project schedules and client requirements.
- Support management in resolving critical commercial and procurement issues.

Qualifications & Experience

- Bachelor’s degree / Diploma in Civil Engineering, Interior Design, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Procurement, or a related field.
- 6–10 years of relevant experience, preferably in interior fit-out, commercial interiors, construction, or turnkey projects.

Pay: ₹600,000.00 - ₹800,000.00 per year
