Job Overview As a Mainframes SQM Infrastructure Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality of infrastructure-related changes and projects, such as PTFs, upgrades, integrations, and emergency fixes. You will be responsible for coordinating infrastructure testing activities, analyzing schedules, and resolving infrastructure-related issues.

Key Responsibilities

- Infrastructure Testing:
- Coordinate and execute infrastructure testing activities for changes and projects.
- Maintain test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
- Analyze test results and identify potential issues.
- Collaborate with development and operations teams to resolve defects and improve test coverage.

- Incident Management
- Respond to and resolve infrastructure-related incidents promptly and effectively.
- To prevent future incidents, conduct a root cause analysis.

- Process Improvement
- Identify opportunities to automate testing processes and improve efficiency.
- Implement best practices for infrastructure testing and quality assurance.

- Collaboration
- Work closely with infrastructure, application, and operations teams to ensure smooth delivery of projects and changes.




- Work with business stakeholders to understand their requirements and meet them.

Required Skills And Experience

- Solid understanding of z/OS operating system, TSO, ISPF, JCL, JES2/JES3, and other mainframe technologies.
- Experience with mainframe database systems (DB2, IMS) and networking concepts.
- Knowledge of ITIL processes and tools (e.g., ServiceNow)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Working independently and as part of a team

Preferred Skills

- Experience with automation tools (e.g., Ansible, Puppet)
- Knowledge of cloud technologies (e.g., AWS, Azure)
- Experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban)
