? Hiring: Lighting Design & Technical Consultant (Ahmedabad)

KRAF is a premium, Chennai-based architectural lighting brand, expanding across Gujarat and Daman through our exclusive regional distribution partner. We're building a specification-led go-to-market with architects, interior designers, PMCs, contractors, and hospitality developers.

We're specifically looking for someone who can do both, not a pure back-office technical person, and not a pure salesperson who fakes the technical part.

What you'll actually be doing:

- Preparing lighting layouts, calculations, and simulations using Dialux (or Relux) for real client and project requirements
- Sitting across the table with architects, PMCs, and clients, understanding their space, their brief, their constraints and translating that into the right KRAF product recommendations, live, in the conversation
- Preparing BOQs, technical submittals, and proposals that hold up under scrutiny from architects and lighting consultants
- Owning technical credibility in meetings if a client asks "why this fixture and not that one," you should be able to answer with real product and lighting-science reasoning, not a script

Who we need:





- Genuine hands-on Dialux/Relux experience not "familiar with," actually used it on real projects
- Comfortable explaining technical concepts (lux levels, CRI, beam angles, IP ratings, driver compatibility) to a non-technical client in plain language, on the spot
- Has sat in client or architect meetings and represented a technical recommendation, not just prepared documents behind the scenes
- Understands how a lighting layout or calculation actually influences what gets specified and ordered, not just producing a report nobody reads

Nice to have:

- Experience with hospitality, retail, or residential architectural lighting projects
- Existing relationships with architects, PMCs, or contractors in Ahmedabad/Gujarat
- Exposure to lighting controls like Casambi, DALI, KNX, or similar

Compensation: Negotiable, based on experience. Fixed component plus commission tied to closed business you contribute to, structured to reward both technical output and client-facing impact.

Location: Ahmedabad (on-ground role, travel across Gujarat/Daman as needed)
