About the role
ATRISI is hiring a Legal & Compliance Intern to support the legal, compliance, and governance requirements of a growing research and technology organization working across education, AI, research, and institutional partnerships.
This is a hands-on role. You will work with agreements, policies, compliance requirements, partnerships, and internal teams — gaining exposure to the legal considerations involved in building and operating technology-led initiatives.
This is not a conventional legal internship focused primarily on case-law research. The role sits close to ATRISI’s operating teams and involves translating legal, contractual, and regulatory requirements into practical organizational processes.

- Draft and review NDAs, MoUs, partnership agreements, vendor agreements, and other routine contracts
- Support documentation for university, research, industry, and institutional collaborations
- Support corporate, statutory, and organizational compliance tracking
- Maintain agreements, legal records, compliance calendars, and documentation
- Identify contractual obligations, risks, renewal dates, and required actions
- Conduct legal and regulatory research relevant to ATRISI’s activities
- Research developments in AI, technology, data protection, intellectual property, and education
- Help develop reusable legal templates, checklists, and internal processes
- Coordinate with external legal professionals where specialist review is required
What we’re looking for
- Currently pursuing or recently completed LL.B., B.A. LL.B., B.B.A. LL.B., or equivalent
- Strong legal research and written communication skills
- Ability to read agreements critically and identify important clauses, obligations, and risks
- Strong attention to detail and documentation discipline
- Comfortable with technology and digital tools
- Interest in corporate law, contracts, technology law, data privacy, IP, education, or regulatory compliance
- Ability to work independently while knowing when to escalate
Prior internship experience with a law firm, startup, corporate legal team, or compliance function is practical but not mandatory.
Details

- Engagement: Paid internship; stipend based on profile and commitment
- Conversion: Potential extension/conversion based on performance and organizational needs
- Supervision: Office of the Founder / Operations; specialist matters escalated to external counsel
- Locations: Bengaluru or Varanasi — mention your preference when applying
Selection Shortlisted candidates may complete a short practical exercise (agreement review / risk identification). We value clarity of thought, research ability, and practical judgment over memorized legal terminology.
