Role Summary

Lead the administration, maintenance, and technical ownership of HMH's digital publishing platform, with a strong focus on WoodWing Studio Server and Adobe InDesign Server/SDK. Drive platform stability, troubleshoot publishing-related issues, support plugin integrations, and manage WoodWing/Adobe upgrade cycles across production and non-production environments.

Key Responsibilities

- Administer and maintain WoodWing Studio Server across production and non-production environments.
- Manage configuration, troubleshooting, monitoring, and overall stability of the WoodWing publishing platform.
- Develop, maintain, and troubleshoot Adobe InDesign Server/SDK scripts supporting print content authoring and publishing workflows.
- Support integration and configuration of MediaWide/Movemen plugins and resolve related technical issues.




- Lead troubleshooting and root cause analysis for complex publishing platform and production issues.
- Plan and execute bi-annual WoodWing Studio Server and Adobe InDesign Server upgrade cycles.
- Perform application configuration, deployment, and environment management activities.
- Develop and maintain custom solutions using PHP and C++ where required for platform enhancements and integrations.
- Support Ioncube-based PHP application deployments and troubleshooting.
- Collaborate with application, infrastructure, QA, and other technical teams to ensure platform stability and successful releases.
- Identify recurring platform issues and implement permanent corrective solutions.
- Provide technical guidance and act as the subject matter expert for the digital publishing platform.
- Maintain technical documentation, operational procedures, and platform support guidelines.

Required Skills
- 810+ years of experience in application/platform administration, digital publishing, or related technical environments.
- Strong hands-on experience administering WoodWing Studio Server.
- Strong experience with Adobe InDesign Server and InDesign SDK/scripting.
- Hands-on experience with MediaWide/Movemen plugins and their configuration/troubleshooting.
- Good development/support experience with PHP and C++.
- Experience with Ioncube and PHP-based application deployments.
- Proven experience supporting production and non-production environments.
- Experience handling WoodWing and Adobe upgrade/migration activities.
- Solid troubleshooting, debugging, and root cause analysis skills.
- Experience working with cross-functional technical teams.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving,



and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently as a technical SME and provide guidance to other team members.
