Job Summary

The Lead Test Automation Specialist is responsible for leading the adoption, implementation, governance, and continuous improvement of test automation across SAP and enterprise applications using Tricentis Tosca. This role combines deep technical expertise in test automation with leadership, stakeholder engagement, governance, coaching, and capability development. The successful candidate will establish and drive the automation strategy, framework, standards, and operating model across SAP Delivery Operations, ensuring automation solutions are scalable, maintainable, and aligned with business and technology objectives.

Although Tricentis Tosca is already implemented within the organization, this role will be responsible for building and maturing the enterprise automation capability, including the development of reusable assets, automation standards, governance controls, training programmes, and best practices that can be adopted across multiple delivery teams.

The role will work closely with Testing, Release Management, Architecture, SAP Basis, Development, Infrastructure, and Business stakeholders to identify automation opportunities, improve testing efficiency, reduce manual effort, and improve the quality and predictability of SAP programme and BAU delivery.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, implement, and maintain enterprise-scale automation frameworks using Tricentis Tosca.
- Develop and execute automation strategies aligned to SAP Delivery Operations objectives.
- Automate SAP Fiori, Web UI, and end-to-end SAP business processes.
- Build and maintain reusable automation assets, regression suites, and testing accelerators.
- Support SAP upgrades, transformation programmes, releases, cutovers, hypercare activities, and BAU testing.
- Integrate automated testing into existing testing and release lifecycle processes.
- Establish automation governance, quality controls, standards,



and operating procedures.
- Define automation KPIs, reporting, and success measures.
- Identify opportunities to increase automation coverage and reduce manual testing effort.
- Collaborate with technical and business teams to improve testing effectiveness and delivery quality.
- Provide mentoring, coaching, and training on Tricentis Tosca and automation best practices.
- Act as the Test Automation Subject Matter Expert (SME) for SAP Delivery Operations.
- Lead automation communities of practice and support capability development across testing teams.
- Maintain testing documentation, standards, procedures, and automation artefacts.
- Analyze testing results, identify improvement opportunities, and recommend corrective actions.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives across testing, quality assurance, and delivery processes.

Required Skills and Experience

- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
- Minimum 10 years of software testing experience.
- Minimum 5 years of test automation experience.




- Minimum 3 years of hands-on Tricentis Tosca experience.
- Proven experience designing, implementing, and maintaining enterprise-scale test automation frameworks.
- Demonstrated experience automating SAP Fiori and Web UI applications.
- Experience supporting SAP programmes, upgrades, and enterprise transformation initiatives.
- Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, automation frameworks, and quality assurance principles.
- Experience integrating automation into Agile, DevOps, and CI/CD delivery models.
- Strong stakeholder management, communication, presentation, and influencing skills.
- Demonstrated ability to lead automation initiatives across multiple delivery teams and workstreams.
- Experience operating within large-scale global enterprise environments.
- Experience developing automation strategies, standards, governance models, and reusable automation assets.
- Solid analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving capabilities.
- Experience mentoring, coaching, and developing automation and testing teams.

Preferred Skills and Experience

- SAP S/4HANA and SAP Fiori testing experience.
- Experience with API and integration testing.
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment processes.
- Experience working in large global enterprise environments.
