Purpose/Objective

Lead - Mechanical (HVAC) is responsible for assisting in the implementation, monitoring, and risk assessment of mechanical systems, supports system testing, tracks project costs, conducts compliance checks, and organizes technical documentation to ensure efficient and accurate project execution and system reliability.

Key Responsibilities of Role

Design Implementation & Coordination: Implement mechanical design plans by collaborating with consultants, vendors, and internal teams to ensure all mechanical systems are seamlessly integrated into both the planning and construction stages of airport projects.

Ensure that mechanical systems are installed according to the project’s design specifications, and collaborate with construction teams to address any discrepancies between design and implementation.

Posses sound knowledge in Central hvac systems,Ventialation Smoke mangament,CFD analysis pertaining to HVAC.

.

Have capability for establishing value engineering proposals with capability of reviewing drawings with respect to constructability aspect.

Possess field knowledge in solving execution related HVAC &Electrical; issues.

Have the basic Coordination knowledge for Layout closures.

Ensure Delivery of drawings (DD and GFC) from the Construction partners.

Possess knowledgeable in giving comments during CD and SD stage so that changes in DD and GFC stage is managed.

Tracking Mechanical Project Costs: Track and record mechanical project costs during both the design and construction phases,



documenting all expenses and assisting in financial reporting for budgeting.

Ensure that financial records are accurate, up-to-date, and aligned with both planning and construction budgets to support effective cost management throughout the project.

Technical Support for Mechanical Systems: Provide technical support for the mechanical systems during the design and construction stages by proactively addressing challenges and discrepancies that arise in office.

Work closely with the engineering and construction teams to troubleshoot technical issues and ensure that the mechanical designs are implemented accurately and efficiently during construction.

Assist in Obtaining Stakeholder Approvals: Support the approval process for mechanical systems by coordinating communication between internal planning teams, construction managers, and external regulatory bodies.

Ensure that mechanical designs and systems meet regulatory requirements, facilitating the timely approval of both the design and construction phases.

Energy Efficiency & Compliance in Mechanical Systems: Contribute to the design and implementation of mechanical systems that are optimized for energy efficiency and compliance with safety standards.





Oversee the construction process to ensure that mechanical systems are installed as designed and operate efficiently within the completed infrastructure.

Ensure that mechanical systems align with the project’s long-term energy goals, safety protocols, and aesthetic requirements.

Monitoring Progress & Reporting: Conduct thorough site visits to monitor the progress of mechanical system installations during construction, ensuring that all work is performed according to the approved design and project timeline.

Report on system performance, validating that mechanical systems meet both design specifications and operational requirements, and support any necessary adjustments during construction to achieve desired outcomes.

Internal Stakeholders: Lead - MEP Project Management Team Engineering Department Procurement Team Health and Safety Team Site Supervisors External Stakeholders: Consultants and Architects Regulatory Authorities Vendors and Suppliers Contractors and Subcontractors HVAC equipment suppliers

Technical Competencies

Qualifications and Experience

Education Qualification: Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering is essential.

Master degree will be an added advantage Work Experience: 15-18 years of experience in Mechanical engineering.
