Role Description SAP S/4HANA ABAP Consultant (FTS – Forecast to Scheduled)

Job Summary The SAP S/4HANA ABAP Consultant is responsible for designing, developing, and supporting SAP S/4HANA ABAP solutions with a strong focus on SAP Foreign Trade Services (FTS) within S/4HANA. The role involves developing custom ABAP objects, optimizing HANA-based developments, and collaborating with functional and technical teams to deliver high-quality solutions for Forecast-to-Scheduled business processes.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and support SAP S/4HANA ABAP solutions.
- Develop and enhance SAP Foreign Trade Services (FTS) functionalities within S/4HANA.
- Build and maintain RICEF objects including Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, and Forms.
- Develop and optimize CDS Views, AMDPs, and OData Services.
- Perform performance analysis, debugging, and optimization of ABAP programs and HANA-based objects.
- Collaborate with functional consultants, business users, and technical teams to deliver end-to-end solutions.
- Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical designs.
- Support unit testing, integration testing, defect resolution, and production support.
- Prepare technical documentation and participate in code reviews.
- Independently manage assigned deliverables while following SAP development standards and best practices.

Must Have Skills




- Strong hands-on experience in SAP S/4HANA ABAP development.
- Mandatory experience with SAP Foreign Trade Services (FTS) in SAP S/4HANA.
- Expertise in core ABAP development including:

- Reports

- Interfaces

- Conversions

- Enhancements

- Forms (RICEF)
- Hands-on experience with CDS Views.
- Strong knowledge of AMDP (ABAP Managed Database Procedures).
- Experience developing and consuming OData Services.
- Expertise in performance analysis and optimization in SAP S/4HANA environments.
- Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage end-to-end technical deliverables.

Good to Have Skills
- Experience with SAP Fiori/UI5 development.
- Knowledge of SAP HANA database concepts and performance optimization.
- Experience with SAP Integration technologies, APIs, IDOCs, and Web Services.
- Familiarity with SAP BTP and modern SAP extension concepts.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments.
- Solid analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- SAP S/4HANA ABAP certification is an added advantage.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
