Role Description UST is a global digital transformation solutions company. This role is with UST, working on a client project for one of the largest financial institutions in Canada.
Business Context The
Transparency team is a Front Office development team responsible for the development of cross-asset automated pricing and risk systems, primarily focused on FICC derivatives. The Transparency team works directly with global sales/trading/quant teams on the development of applications incorporating pricing and risk models used for electronic trading.

- RHEL Linux 8+ Position Overview The Transparency Team is looking for a senior-level software engineer in Trivandrum, India to join our core pricing/risk services development team. The ideal candidate has the following skills: Essentials:
- 7+ years Java development experience building enterprise software for data-intensive applications
- Strong Core Java knowledge, JDK 17+
- Robust understanding and experience with multi-threaded programming
- Experience with implementing automated unit, integration, regression testing into CI/CD pipelines
- Ability to work with sales/trading/quant teams on implementing pricing/risk models into high throughput streaming data pipelines
- Ability to work with eTrading/infrastructure teams on efficient distribution of pricing/risk model outputs to facilitate low-latency trading Highly desirable:
- Experience developing high-performance real-time streaming systems over a variety of protocols
- Strong knowledge of pricing/risk of FICC derivatives products (Swaps/Forwards/Options)
- Experience optimizing tradeoffs between throughput and latency in system design Candidate should also be or have:
- Ability to plan, evaluate, recommend, design, operationalize, and support solutions in compliance with enterprise and industry regulatory requirements for G-SIB (Global Systemically Important Bank)
- Ability to work on multiple initiatives at the same time
- Familiar with Agile, and SDLC processes Team Emphasis Core Java is the primary focus. Practical working knowledge of JavaScript, Web UI development, and real-time Web APIs (WebSocket and/or SSE) is expected to contribute productively in a full-stack capacity. This is a data-intensive team building solutions with high throughput (10–100Ks of messages per second per thread) and low-latency (sub-millisecond) performance requirements. UI performance is part of the end-to-end solution’s overall performance, so candidates should approach both Core Java and JavaScript with the same emphasis on performance and systems-level engineering. Other Education and Accreditation College/University degree with emphasis on numerical subjects (Computer Science, Engineering, Maths, Sciences etc.)
