Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) - Python Automation

Role Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) with strong expertise in Python Automation Testing. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable automation frameworks, ensuring the quality and reliability of web applications and APIs.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and maintain scalable and reusable automation frameworks and test suites.
- Develop and execute automated tests for UI, API, integration, regression, smoke, and end-to-end testing.
- Build and maintain test automation solutions using Python.
- Design and execute API automation frameworks using PyTest, Postman, and REST APIs.
- Develop automated UI tests using modern automation tools such as Playwright.
- Validate web applications across multiple browsers and devices.
- Perform database testing and SQL validation to ensure data integrity and business requirements.
- Integrate and execute automated test suites within CI/CD pipelines.
- Develop reusable automation utilities, libraries, and testing tools.
- Collaborate with Developers, Product Owners, DevOps Engineers, and QA teams in an Agile environment.
- Track defects and testing activities using Jira and manage source code through Git/GitHub.
- Participate in test planning, test strategy discussions, and quality improvement initiatives.

Mandatory Skills





- Robust hands-on experience in Python Automation Testing.
- Experience in developing and maintaining automation frameworks using Python.
- Strong experience in API Testing and API Automation.
- Hands-on experience with PyTest, Postman, and REST APIs.
- Experience with UI automation testing tools.
- Knowledge of SQL and database testing.
- Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
- Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.

Preferred/Secondary Skills

- Hands-on experience with Playwright for UI automation.
- Experience with AWS services and cloud-based application testing.
- Exposure to performance testing tools such as k6 or JMeter.
- Knowledge of Git/GitHub and test automation best practices.
