Details Position & Designation Lead Engineer Control & Instrumentation Grade P1 Division & Department Green Hydrogen Engineering Reporting To Sub-Group Head E & I Engineering Place of Posting Pune 2. Job Profile A. Key Objectives

- Independently execute, create, and deliver engineering deliverables for MW/GW-scale Alkaline Technology-based Hydrogen Electrolyzer Plants , Balance of Stack facilities, Electrolyzer Test Facilities, pilot projects, and prototypes.

- Perform engineering, design, configuration, testing, and commissioning support for Distributed Control Systems (DCS), Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC), Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS/Safety PLC), SCADA , and associated industrial automation systems.

- Carry out basic and detailed engineering of Control & Instrumentation Systems in accordance with licensor design practices and applicable codes and standards.

1. Major Deliverables A.

Control

Systems

- Develop system architecture and undertake detailed engineering of control system components, including preparation of technical specifications for procurement from reputed vendors.

- Prepare and review control system documents, including:

- Control Philosophy

- Functional Design Specification (FDS)

- System Architecture

- I/O List

- Instrument Index

- Cause & Effect Matrix

- Logic Diagrams

- Shutdown Matrix

- Alarm List

- Communication Architecture

- Network Layout

- PLC Panel Drawings

- DCS Cabinet Drawings

- SIS Cabinet Drawings

- FAT Procedures

- SAT Procedures

- Test Protocols

- As-Built Documentation

- Identify competent suppliers, coordinate with vendors, and undertake pre-engineering of PLC/DCS systems suitable for the application.

- Conduct technical bid evaluations and optimize control system solutions.

- Develop control logics, function blocks, and software programs.

- Prepare schematic and wiring diagrams.

- Participate in Pre-FAT/FAT of control systems.

- Review routine/type test reports and issue technical clearances.

- Perform sizing and specification of:

- Control Valves

- Transmitters

- Analyzers

- Sampling Systems

- Flow Instrumentation

- Custody Metering Systems

- Pneumatic Systems

- Prepare RFQs,



conduct technical bid evaluations, and review vendor drawings for:

- PLC/DCS Systems

- Field Instruments

- Gas Analyzers

- Gas Detectors

- Control Valves

- On/Off Valves

- Prepare:

- Instrument List

- I/O List

- Junction Box (JB) Schedule

- I & C Cable Interconnection Drawings

- UPS Load List

- Instrument Data Sheets

- Control Valve and On/Off Valve Data Sheets

- PLC/DCS-related documentation

- Prepare Instrument Hook-Up Drawings and Instrument Location Layouts.

- Estimate Bill of Quantities (BoQ) for I & C cables, erection hardware, junction boxes, and instrument racks.

Electrical

Interface

- Develop electrical system interface details, including drive control philosophy and MCC schematics .

- Prepare Bills of Materials, equipment lists, and relevant schedules.

D.

Overall

Responsibilities

- Prepare input documentation for HAZOP, SIL, LOPA , and other safety studies, including:

- Cause & Effect Charts

- Interlock Diagrams

- Alarm Lists

- Logic Descriptions

- Participate in HAZOP, SIL, LOPA, and other relevant safety workshops.

- Implement HAZOP/SIL recommendations in project engineering documentation.

- Develop standard product documentation such as P & IDs and Control System Architectures .

- Work at project sites across India as a design representative to support execution teams, including:

- Supervision of pre-commissioning field tests

- Witnessing energization activities

- Supporting commissioning activities

- Preparing and reviewing test protocols

- Approximately 20% travel is expected for this role.

- Coordinate with multidisciplinary engineering teams, professional consultants, vendors, licensors, suppliers, contractors, and clients.
