Job Title: Senior Data Engineering & AI Readiness Lead

Location: Hyderabad

Working Mode: 100% Work from office (5 Days a week)

We’re looking for a highly hands-on senior data professional to help shape and build AI-ready data solutions that support customer-facing, IoT-driven, predictive, and diagnostic use cases. In this role, you will operate at the intersection of business and technology—bringing deep expertise in data engineering, data modeling, transformation design, and governance to prepare enterprise data for modern AI and analytics initiatives. This is an ideal opportunity for someone who enjoys solving complex data challenges, influencing better technical outcomes, and building scalable solutions in Azure and Databricks environments.

- Design, build, and optimize data pipelines and transformation processes that prepare enterprise data for AI and advanced analytics use cases
- Develop scalable, high-quality data solutions using Databricks, Azure data platform technologies, Python, and SQL
- Lead advanced data modeling efforts to create trusted, reusable, and business-relevant data structures
- Prepare data for machine readability and AI consumption across customer-facing and IoT-driven solution environments
- Implement structured transformation layers including basic, derived,



aggregate, summary, reference, and snapshot tables
- Support metadata-driven development approaches to improve automation, repeatability, and efficiency across data workflows
- Establish and enhance data quality controls, validation methods, and governance-aligned practices
- Maintain and improve data lineage, metadata, and semantic context to strengthen trust, discoverability, and usability of data assets
- Contribute to semantic enablement efforts such as business glossary, data dictionary, and catalog development, including AI-assisted approaches where appropriate
- Optimize large-scale data transformations and computational processes for performance, scalability, and incremental processing
- Collaborate closely with business and technical stakeholders to understand business processes, data meaning, and downstream use cases
- Challenge assumptions, identify gaps, and recommend practical alternative solutions that improve data design and long-term platform value
- Partner with existing architecture, governance, infrastructure, and database teams to align solutions with enterprise standards while remaining deeply hands-on in delivery

- Have approximately 10–15+ years of relevant experience in data engineering, data transformation, and enterprise data solution delivery
- Bring strong data engineering fundamentals with deep hands-on development expertise
- Have advanced data modeling experience in complex enterprise environments
- Possess strong experience with Databricks and Azure data platform technologies
- Demonstrate strong Python development skills for data transformation, automation, and reusable framework development
- Have advanced SQL skills,



including query tuning and database performance optimization
- Understand Medallion Architecture and modern layered data design principles
- Have experience with metadata-driven development and automation methodologies
- Bring working knowledge of data quality, data governance, semantic layer implementation, data lineage, and metadata management
- Have experience preparing and structuring data for AI, analytics, and intelligent automation use cases
- Are comfortable working in a highly hands-on role with a strong focus on development and implementation
- Can quickly understand business processes, data relationships, and operational meaning behind datasets
- Bring strong analytical thinking, problem-solving ability, and a practical approach to solving real-world data challenges
- Demonstrate ownership, curiosity, learning agility, and a continuous-improvement mindset
- Are confident collaborating across both technical and business teams

It will be a plus if you:

- Have experience supporting customer-facing or farmer-facing digital, IoT, predictive analytics, or diagnostic solution environments
- Have worked in manufacturing, ERP-connected, or industrial data ecosystems
- Bring exposure to AI or Agentic AI-enabled data preparation and semantic enrichment use cases
- Have experience creating business glossaries, catalog structures, or semantic context using AI-assisted tools
- Can bring innovative ideas and alternative recommendations that improve scalability, maintainability, and business impact
- Have experience building reusable transformation frameworks that support enterprise growth
