Role & responsibilities The role is for the Power and Energy solutions within Thermax.
The Lead Engineer C&I; is responsible for leading the projectlevel C&I; engineering scope, coordinating with other disciplines, guiding junior engineers, and ensuring timely delivery of all engineering documents as per project specifications, budget, quality and schedule. The Lead C&I; Engineer shall also responsible for proposal and estimation of C&I; tenders.
- Proposal activities like review of tender documents, identify the clarification and deviation, get them resolved, boq and cost estimation.
- Lead C&I; engineering activities for assigned projects from concept to commissioning support.
- Develop and review key deliverables: instrument index, , datasheets, hook-up drawings, loop drawings, cable schedules, control philosophy, cause & effect, and system architecture, Hook up diagram, junction box layout, cable tray out, Instrument layout
- Arrange inputs for the DCS/PLC Engineering like I/O list, Logic Diagram, graphics etc.
- Attend the HAZOP and SIL studies
- Co-ordinate,
train the team members to achieve the timelines
- Interact with customer, consultant, vendors for clarification/follow up and expedition.
- Use the various tools like control valve sizing tool etc. for valve and flow element sizing.
- Review vendor documents for instruments, control valves, analyzers, DCS/PLC systems, etc.
- Attend DCS/PLC FAT/SAT with customer and vendor and get the system cleared for dispatch
- Coordinate with process, electrical, mechanical, civil, and procurement teams to resolve interface issues.
- Prepare engineering schedules, monitor progress, and control man-hours for the C&I; scope.
- Provide technical guidance to engineers and designers; ensure compliance with standards (ISA, IEC, API).
- Support site teams with technical clarifications and resolve engineering-related queries.
