Role: Lead AI Transformation

(Reporting to: CIO / Head AI)

Role Purpose The Lead - AI Transformation will partner closely with the CIO to drive the design and execution of AI-led initiatives across Sales, Manufacturing, and Logistics, translating business priorities into scalable, value-driven outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

1. Sales Optimization (Commercial AI Use Cases)

- Lead AI initiatives across:
- Demand forecasting and sales planning
- Customer segmentation and churn prediction
- Sales force effectiveness and beat optimization
- Channel-wise and SKU-wise profitability analytics
- Pricing and discount optimization
- Work with Sales, Marketing and Plant heads and Logistics teams to convert business problems into AI/ML use cases.
- Ensure models are interpretable, actionable, and trusted by business teams.

2. Shopfloor & Manufacturing Optimization

- Lead AI/Advanced Analytics initiatives for:
- Predictive maintenance of machines and utilities
- Scrap, and rejection reduction
- Process parameter optimization (extrusion, moulding, compounding, etc.)
- Energy optimization and OEE improvement
- Quality prediction and root cause analysis
- Work closely with Plant Heads, Production, Quality, and Maintenance teams.
- Integrate OT data (PLC, SCADA, MES) with IT and analytics platforms.
- Ensure AI recommendations are embedded into daily shopfloor decision-making, not just dashboards.

3. AI Program Execution & Governance

- Own end-to-end delivery of AI use cases:
- Business case Data readiness Model development Deployment Adoption Value realization
- Define AI project prioritization, roadmap, and success metrics (ROI, productivity, cost savings).
- Partner with system integrators, AI vendors, startups, and academia as required.

4. Change Management & Capability Building

- Act as a translator between business,



data science, and IT teams.
- Drive user adoption through training, workshops, and simplified storytelling of AI outcomes.
- Help build internal AI capability by mentoring analysts, engineers, and business users.
- Support the CIO in executive presentations and promoter-level reviews on AI progress.

Required Qualifications & Experience

Education

- Engineering degree (B.Tech / BE) Mechanical, Production, Electrical, Chemical, or Computer Science preferred
- MBA or Masters in Analytics / Data Science desirable Experience
- 1015 years of experience in:
- Manufacturing analytics, digital transformation, or advanced analytics roles
- At least 46 years working on AI / ML / Advanced Analytics use cases
- Strong exposure to:
- Discrete or process manufacturing environments
- Sales analytics, demand planning, or commercial excellence (preferred)

Technical & Functional Skills AI & Analytics

- Strong understanding of ML concepts (regression, classification, forecasting, optimization)
- Knowledge of Python/R, SQL, and analytics platformsManufacturing Systems
- Positive understanding of:
- MES, SCADA, PLC data
- OEE, TPM, Six Sigma, Lean manufacturing concepts

Business Skills

- Ability to convert vague business problems into structured AI use cases
- Strong storytelling and executive communication skills
- Comfort working with senior leadership and shopfloor teams alike

Key Success Metrics (KPIs)

- % of AI use cases moved from pilot to production
- Measurable sales uplift, margin improvement, or working capital reduction
- Reduction in downtime, scrap, energy consumption, and quality losses
- Adoption of AI insights in business and operational reviews
