JOB TITLE: Lead-AI and Data Science

JOB LOCATION: Maharashtra, Mumbai, Borivali East

About Position:

We are looking for an experienced AI professional to lead the design, development and deployment of machine learning solutions across HPIPL's business. This is a hands-on role with ownership from problem definition, through to production you will build the systems, put them in front of the people who make decisions and be accountable for what changes as a result.

Key Responsibilities:

Predictive supply chain & inventory- Transition purchasing from experience-based decisions to data-driven, statistical demand forecasting to improve forecast accuracy, reduce stockouts and minimize dead stock.

Sales intelligence- Transform complex sales and market data into prioritized, actionable insights that enable informed decision-making and improve sales performance.

Customer retention- Leverage predictive analytics to proactively identify at-risk customers, uncover key churn drivers and enable targeted retention strategies.

Additional Responsibilities:

Collaborate with Procurement, Sales and Operations leaders to convert business problems into clearly defined, measurable analytics use cases.

Establish scalable data infrastructure and make the build-versus-buy calls on AI tooling and data platforms.

Own the AI/ML lifecycle end to end data extraction and preparation, model development, validation, deployment, monitoring and continuous improvement.

Required Qualifications and Skills:

B.E./B.Tech, M.Sc. or equivalent in a quantitative discipline.

6+ years in applied machine learning / data science, including production deployments used by real users.



Demonstrable end-to-end ownership of at least two projects, from problem framing to live deployment to measured impact.

Hands-on experience with forecasting / time series and/or classification for churn and propensity.

¢ Cloud deployment (AWS, Azure or GCP) and working MLOps practice pipelines, monitoring, retraining.

¢ Proven ability to deliver reliable results from messy, incomplete data across ERP, CRM and spreadsheets.

¢ Leadership experience mentoring engineers, leading project teams or influencing senior stakeholders.

¢ Domain exposure to pharma, healthcare, distribution or FMCG SKU and batch/expiry dynamics, distributor and stockist behaviour and secondary sales data.

¢ Startup or lean team workplace is an added advantage.
