Job Title: OT In-Charge / Operation Theatre In-Charge
Department: Operation Theatre
Reports To: Nursing Superintendent / Medical Superintendent
Location: Hospital / Healthcare Facility
Job Summary The OT In-Charge is responsible for the overall coordination, management, and smooth functioning of the Operation Theatre. This role ensures patient safety, adherence to clinical protocols, availability of equipment, and efficient teamwork among surgeons, anesthetists, nurses, and technicians.
Key Responsibilities
Clinical & OT Management
- Supervise day-to-day OT operations and scheduling of surgeries
- Ensure OT readiness (sterility, equipment, instruments, drugs, and supplies)
- Maintain aseptic techniques and infection control standards
- Coordinate with surgeons, anesthetists, and nursing staff for procedures
Staff Supervision
- Allocate duties to OT nurses and technicians
- Monitor staff performance, discipline, and attendance
- Provide on-the-job training and guidance to OT staff
- Prepare duty rosters and manage shift coverage
Patient Safety & Care
- Ensure patient identification, consent, and pre-operative checklists
- Monitor patient safety before, during, and after surgery
- Ensure compliance with NABH / JCI / hospital protocols
Equipment & Inventory
- Oversee maintenance and proper use of OT equipment
- Ensure availability and sterility of surgical instruments
- Maintain inventory records and coordinate procurement
Documentation & Compliance
- Maintain OT records, registers, and reports
- Ensure adherence to hospital policies and statutory regulations
- Participate in audits,
quality improvement, and infection control meetings
Emergency & Crisis Management
- Manage OT during emergencies and mass casualty situations
- Handle unexpected surgical complications or equipment failures
Qualifications & Experience
- B.Sc Nursing / GNM (required)
- OT specialization or certification (preferred)
- 5 TO 8 years of OT experience, with supervisory experience preferred
lLab Technician Job Title: Hopital Lab Technician
Employment Type: Full time
Job Summary The Hospital Lab Technician is responsible for collecting, processing, testing, and maintaining clinical specimens such as blood, urine, stool, and other biological samples. The technician performs laboratory tests accurately and safely while following hospital protocols, quality standards, and infection-control procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Collect blood and other patient samples according to established procedures.
- Receive, label, identify, and properly store laboratory specimens.
- Perform routine hematology, biochemistry, microbiology, and clinical pathology tests as assigned.
- Operate and maintain laboratory equipment and analyzers.
- Prepare reagents, solutions, slides, and laboratory materials.
- Record and verify test results accurately in laboratory registers or computer systems.
Qualifications & Experience
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Medical Laboratory Technology (DMLT/BMLT) or an equivalent qualification.
- Relevant laboratory experience is preferred, but freshers may be considered depending on hospital requirements.
