Company Description Indian Institute of Technology (BHU) Varanasi is a premier research and engineering institute located in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh, India. Role Description The Junior Research Fellowship is a full-time in office role based at IIT (BHU) Varanasi. The fellow will work on an ANRF sponsered project focused on understanding the uranium mobilization mechanism in the Indo-Gangetic plain. They will work under the guidance of a supervising faculty member, perform literature reviews, sample collection in the field and perform experimental or computational work, data collection, and analysis.
Day-to-day responsibilities may include preparing research reports, assisting in drafting manuscripts, maintaining project documentation, and participating in meetings and seminars. The fellow will also help in organizing research materials, collaborating with team members, and contributing to presentations, conferences,
and grant-related activities as required.
Qualifications
BTech/BE or equivalent degree in Civil Engineering/Environmental Engineering/ Chemical Engineering or allied discipline.
MTech/ME or equvalent degree in Civil Engineering/Environmental Engineering
- GATE qualified in Civil or Environmental Engineering.
- Skills in research methodology,.
- Proficiency in technical and academic writing, with the ability to prepare reports, research papers, and presentations clearly and accurately.
- Comfort with relevant tools or software (such as scientific computing tools, lab equipment, or statistical packages), and willingness to learn new research techniques.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a structured research environment.
- Good written and verbal communication skills in English; ability to present and discuss research findings in group and public settings.
- Minimum educational qualification typically includes a relevant bachelor’s or master’s degree as specified by the project or funding agency (e.g., M.Sc., M.Tech, or equivalent); prior research or project experience is an advantage.
- Demonstrated interest in research, openness to feedback, and commitment to maintaining high standards of academic integrity and ethical conduct.
