What You'll Do:

- Develop mechanical designs that align with product architecture, functional requirements, and design specifications.
- Ensure designs incorporate safety, reliability, quality, and manufacturability from the early stages of development.
- Own mechanical design modules while balancing performance, quality, cost, and timelines.
- Conduct concept development and feasibility studies and evaluate recent technologies and engineering approaches.
- Create and maintain detailed 3D models, manufacturing drawings, BOMs, and design documentation as per engineering standards.
- Ensure seamless integration and compatibility of mechanical components within modular product architectures.
- Support product development through DFM/DFA, material selection, tolerance analysis, and design optimization.
- Conduct design calculations and support FEM/FEA analysis to validate mechanical performance.
- Create DFMEA, identify potential product risks, and implement appropriate design mitigations.
- Ensure mechanical designs meet applicable product certification and country-specific regulatory requirements.
- Prepare functional requirements and technical documentation for developed designs.




- Plan and track assigned work, including work breakdown, timelines, and cost estimates, and communicate progress to stakeholders.
- Stay updated with emerging mechanical engineering technologies, tools, materials, and design practices.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including electronics, firmware, industrial design, manufacturing, and quality.

What We're Looking For:

- B.E./B.Tech./M.Tech. in Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineering.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical/structural design, CAD modeling, and manufacturing drawings.
- Hands-on experience with 3D CAD tools such as SolidWorks, Creo/Pro-E, Solid Edge, or equivalent.
- Good understanding of engineering calculations, tolerance analysis, and design validation.
- Knowledge of FEM/FEA and the ability to interpret and apply simulation results.
- Experience with DFMEA, DFM/DFA, material selection, and EBOM creation.
- Understanding of mechanical product development processes, engineering standards, and manufacturing methods.
- Ability to translate product requirements into functional mechanical requirements and design solutions.
- Knowledge of IEC 60601 or other relevant product safety standards is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving and system-thinking mindset, with attention to detail and design quality.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a cross-functional team.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain and advocate for design decisions.
- A proactive, ownership-driven approach with a focus on quality, timelines, and results.
- Ability to work effectively in a diverse, collaborative, and fast-paced environment.
