Role & responsibilities

Manage day-to-day Stores and Warehouse operations, ensuring smooth receipt, storage and issue of materials.

Supervise incoming material and verify quantity, documentation and material condition.

Ensure timely and accurate Goods Receipt / GRN entries in SAP/system.

Maintain proper records of stock, receipts, issues, transfers and returns.

Monitor inventory levels and ensure optimum stock availability.

Handle job-work materials, including receipt, dispatch, tracking and reconciliation.

Manage rejection materials and ensure proper segregation, identification and documentation.

Coordinate loading and unloading of materials while following safety procedures.

Ensure proper storage, identification, preservation and handling of materials.

Handle and maintain records related to imported materials and ensure proper material handling.

Ensure compliance with E-Way Bill and material movement procedures.

Conduct regular physical stock verification and reconcile physical stock with system records.

Monitor stock discrepancies, investigate variances and take corrective action.

Supervise Stores manpower and allocate work according to operational requirements.

Coordinate with Purchase, Production, Quality, Logistics, Finance and other departments for smooth material flow.

Ensure proper documentation for material receipts, issues, transfers,



returns and rejections.

Maintain 5S, housekeeping and safety standards within the Stores/Warehouse area.

Prepare and maintain inventory, stock and Stores-related reports for management.

Ensure FIFO/FEFO or other applicable inventory control practices are followed.

Support internal/external audits and ensure proper documentation and compliance.

Attention to detail and documentation accuracy

Ability to work under pressure and meet operational deadlines

Computer literate with good knowledge of MS Office

Working knowledge of SAP, particularly Stores/Inventory-related transactions

Strong knowledge of Inventory Management

Knowledge of Stores functions and procedures

Product/material knowledge and material identification

Knowledge of Goods Inward / GRN procedure in the system

Handling of incoming materials

Handling of job-work materials

Handling and control of rejection materials

Knowledge of material handling for imported products

Knowledge of loading and unloading operations

Knowledge of material storage, preservation and identification

Awareness of Safety Procedures in Stores/Warehouse operations

Ability to work under pressure and meet operational deadlines
