Job Summary

We are looking for a highly motivated Senior Engineer with 5–8 years of experience in Automotive Embedded Software Development and Battery Management Systems (BMS). The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in Application Software (ASW), Basic Software (BSW), and Unit Testing, with hands-on experience in AUTOSAR, Embedded C, and automotive software development processes.

The candidate will be responsible for software development, integration, debugging, unit testing, and supporting system validation while ensuring compliance with automotive quality and functional safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

Application Software (ASW)

- Develop and maintain BMS application software using Embedded C.
- Implement battery management features including:

- State of Charge (SOC)

- State of Health (SOH)

- State of Power (SOP)

- Cell balancing

- Battery protection

- Charge and discharge control

- Thermal management

- Fault diagnostics
- Operating mode/state machine implementation
- Develop software based on system and software requirements.
- Perform software integration and debugging on target hardware.
- Optimize software for performance, memory utilization, and execution time.

Basic Software (BSW)

- Configure and integrate AUTOSAR Basic Software modules.

- Configure and support

- MCAL Drivers

- AUTOSAR Operating System

- Runtime Environment (RTE)

- ECU Configuration

- Communication Stack (CAN/CAN FD/LIN)

- Diagnostic Stack (UDS/DCM)

- NVM and Memory Stack

- Watchdog Manager

- ECU State Manager




- Support bootloader integration and ECU flashing.
- Diagnose hardware and low-level software issues.

Unit Testing & Software Quality

- Develop and execute unit test cases for software modules.
- Perform white-box and requirement-based testing.
- Use automated unit testing tools such as VectorCAST, Tessy, or Cantata.
- Achieve project targets for code coverage (Statement, Branch, MC/DC).
- Analyze static analysis reports and resolve software defects.
- Support software integration, regression, and validation testing.

Software Integration

- Integrate ASW and BSW components.
- Support SIL, HIL, and ECU-level testing.
- Analyze CAN communication and diagnostic messages.
- Work closely with hardware, systems, and validation teams to resolve integration issues.

Documentation & Process

- Prepare software design documentation and unit test reports.
- Maintain requirement traceability.
- Participate in peer reviews and code reviews.
- Follow ASPICE and ISO 26262 software development processes.
- Adhere to MISRA C coding guidelines.

Qualifications

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Instrumentation, or a related engineering discipline.

Desired Experience

- 5–8 years of experience in Automotive Embedded Software Development.
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in Battery Management System software development.
- Experience in complete software development lifecycle (Requirements, Design, Coding, Unit Testing, Integration, and Validation).
- Experience with OEM or Tier-1 automotive projects is preferred.
