Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Java Tech Lead to design, build, and lead the delivery of scalable enterprise applications. This role combines hands-on technical ownership with team leadership - you'll set technical direction, guide a team of engineers, and work closely with stakeholders to translate business needs into robust, maintainable systems. The ideal candidate brings deep expertise across Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, Kafka, PostgreSQL, and enterprise integration technologies, along with the ability to mentor others and drive technical excellence.

Responsibilities

- Technical Leadership Architecture

- Lead the design and architecture of scalable, secure, and high-performing enterprise applications.

- Design and support integration architecture connecting internal systems and external partners.

- Configure and maintain business rule engines to support configurable, low-code business logic.

- Guide technical decision-making and enforce coding standards across the team.

- Development Delivery

- Design, develop, and maintain scalable applications using Java and Spring Boot.

- Develop RESTful APIs and Microservices.

- Build and maintain event-driven integrations using Kafka for reliable, asynchronous communication between services.

- Schedule and monitor background/batch jobs using Quartz Scheduler.

- Data Reporting

- Design and optimize Oracle and PostgreSQL database queries and data models.

- Implement data persistence using MyBatis and ORM frameworks.

- Develop and maintain reporting solutions using Jasper Reports and ClickHouse for high-volume analytical reporting.

- Collaboration Mentorship

- Collaborate with stakeholders and guide development teams.

- Lead code reviews, troubleshooting, and performance optimization.

- Mentor junior and mid-level engineers, fostering technical growth within the team.

- Quality Process





- Ensure adherence to coding standards, security practices, and Agile/Scrum methodologies.

- Contribute to responsive UI components using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript where full-stack input is needed.

Required Skills and Experience

- Java 21-26 - Expertise with modern Java (LTS and feature releases), including contemporary language features, performance improvements, and virtual threads.

- Spring Boot - Experienced in developing production-ready enterprise applications and RESTful services using the Spring Boot framework.

- MyBatis - Regular hands-on experience with SQL-centric persistence development using MyBatis for fine-grained database interactions.

- Hibernate / JPA (ORM) - Familiar with Object-Relational Mapping (ORM) concepts for effective data persistence and entity management.

- AI agents like Claude code, opencode etc

- Microservices Architecture - Regular hands-on experience with designing and developing independently deployable, scalable, and resilient microservices.

- Integration Architecture - Experienced in integrating internal and external systems using standardized communication patterns.

- REST APIs - Experienced with designing, developing, and consuming RESTful APIs for system interoperability.





- Apache Kafka - Experienced with event-driven architectures and asynchronous messaging using Kafka.

- Rule Engines - Experienced with implementing configurable business rules using externalized rule engine frameworks.

- PostgreSQL - Experienced in designing schemas, writing queries, and optimizing relational database operations.

- Oracle Database, SQL PL/SQL - Experienced in relational database development, query optimization, and stored procedure development.

- ClickHouse - Familiar with high-performance analytical databases for reporting and large-scale data analysis.

- Apache Tomcat - Familiar with deploying and managing Java web applications on Tomcat application servers.

- Quartz Scheduler - Familiar with implementing scheduled, recurring, and batch background jobs.

- JasperReports - Experienced in designing and generating business reports in formats such as PDF and Excel.

- HTML, CSS JavaScript - Familiar with developing and maintaining responsive user interfaces when full-stack development is required.

- Git, GitLab SVN - Experienced with source code version control, branching strategies, and collaborative development workflows.

- Maven Gradle - Familiar with build automation, dependency management, and project configuration.

- Agile / Scrum - Familiar with Agile software development practices, including sprint planning, backlog refinement, daily stand-ups, and iterative delivery.
