Job Summary

We are looking for skilled and motivated Java Developers to join our Global Capability Centre in Chennai, India. The ideal candidates will be responsible for building and maintaining high-performance, scalable applications using Java and related technologies. This role requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams. This role directly reports to the Developer Team Lead.

Responsibilities

- Develop, test, and maintain Java-based applications according to business requirements

- Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code following established standards

- Perform technical impact analysis to assess changes and their effects on existing systems

- Collaborate with team members and stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver solutions

- Debug and resolve application issues across development and production environments

- Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement of development practices

- Document technical designs, configurations, and implementation details

- Stay current with emerging technologies and apply them where appropriate

Requirements

- 3+ years of hands-on experience in Java development

- Strong proficiency in Java 8+ and the Spring Framework (Spring Boot, Spring MVC)





- Solid understanding of object-oriented programming, design patterns, and RESTful APIs

- Robust knowledge and hands-on experience with relational databases, especially Microsoft SQL Server

- Experience with front-end technologies (HTML, JavaScript, Angular, React) is desirable

- Experience in developing and deploying Java cloud-native applications is desirable

- Experience with BPM platforms or workflow engines is desirable, with a preference for Newgen BPM

- Experience with Azure cloud platforms, containerization (Docker, OpenShift, Kubernetes), Git, Maven, and CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins)

- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills

- Java certifications (e.g., Oracle Certified Professional) - Preferred

- Cloud certifications (e.g.

Microsoft Certified

Azure) - Preferred

- Experience in the financial services industry is a plus

Qualifications

- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
