Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Java Backend Developer with Eclipse RCP expertise to design, develop, and maintain enterprise-grade desktop and backend applications. The ideal candidate should possess strong experience in Java development, Eclipse Rich Client Platform (RCP), OSGi framework, and modern backend technologies.

The candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams to build scalable, high-performance solutions and contribute throughout the software development lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and maintain applications using Java and Eclipse RCP.
- Develop and enhance Eclipse plugins, views, editors, perspectives, and extension points.
- Build and consume RESTful APIs and backend services.
- Work with SWT and JFace for desktop UI development.
- Develop modular applications using OSGi and Equinox frameworks.
- Implement business requirements with clean, maintainable, and scalable code.
- Integrate applications with relational databases and external systems.
- Troubleshoot application issues, performance bottlenecks, and production incidents.
- Participate in code reviews and adhere to coding standards and best practices.
- Collaborate with product owners, QA teams,



and other stakeholders.

Required Skills

Core Skills

- Strong experience in Java/J2EE development.
- Hands-on experience with Eclipse RCP (Rich Client Platform).
- Experience with SWT and JFace frameworks.
- Good understanding of OSGi and Equinox.
- Experience in Eclipse Plugin Development.
- Strong knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles.

Backend Skills
- Experience with REST APIs and Web Services.
- Knowledge of Spring Framework / Spring Boot.
- Familiarity with Microservices architecture.
- Solid SQL and database development skills.

Database
- Oracle / PostgreSQL / MySQL / SQL Server.

Build & Tools
- Eclipse IDE
- Maven / Gradle
- Git
- Jenkins / CI-CD

Preferred Skills
- Experience working in Product Development environments.
- Knowledge of Design Patterns and Secure Coding Practices.
- Experience in multithreading and performance optimization.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- 5+ years of hands-on Java development experience.
- Proven experience developing Eclipse RCP-based applications.
