Role Description This is a full-time, on-site IT Manager role based at MVR Cancer Centre & Research Institute in Kozhikode. The IT Manager will oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of the centre’s IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, storage systems, and end-user devices.
Responsibilities include ensuring system security and data privacy, managing hospital information systems and electronic medical record platforms, and coordinating with clinical and administrative teams to support technology needs. The role involves managing IT support staff, handling vendor relationships, monitoring system performance, and establishing backup and disaster recovery procedures. The IT Manager will also plan and lead IT projects, drive technology improvements,
and ensure compliance with healthcare and data protection regulations.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong expertise in IT infrastructure management, including servers, networks, and storage systems.
- Candidates should possess skills in information security, data privacy, and backup and disaster recovery planning.
- Candidates should possess experience with hospital information systems, electronic medical records, and other healthcare IT applications.
- Candidates should possess capabilities in project management, vendor coordination, and budgeting for IT initiatives.
- Candidates should possess strong problem-solving skills and the ability to provide effective technical support to diverse user groups.
- Candidates should possess excellent communication and collaboration skills to work closely with clinical and administrative stakeholders.
- Relevant academic qualifications such as a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field would be beneficial.
- Professional certifications (e.g., ITIL, CCNA, MCSE, or healthcare IT-related certifications) and prior experience in a hospital or clinical setting would be advantageous.
