Job Profile: iOS Developer

Location: Chennai, India

Preferred experience: - 9 - 12 years The Role:

We are looking for an experienced iOS Developer to contribute to the development and maintenance of mobile-related information systems and business applications. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Swift, SwiftUI, Combine Framework, RxSwift/RxCocoa or other reactive frameworks, modern software architecture, mobile development, automated testing, CI/CD and secure software development practices. The developer will contribute to high-quality, maintainable, secure, scalable, documented and testable software solutions while working in an Agile/Scrum environment.

Responsibilities

iOS Development & Mobile Engineering

- Participate in mobile development activities across banking, trading and beyond-banking applications.
- Develop and maintain high-quality iOS/mobile products and business applications.
- Contribute to the technical implementation of the Mobile strategy.
- Design, develop and maintain mobile platform components.
- Implement and co-design software architectural specifications.
- Ensure software solutions are maintainable, secure, documented, scalable and testable.
- Develop bug fixes and small enhancement tasks.
- Prevent and manage obsolete components and libraries.





Software Quality & Testing

- Ensure software quality through appropriate development and testing practices.
- Develop and execute unit tests and E2E tests.
- Support test automation and integration of quality/security tools such as Sonar and Fortify.
- Participate in code reviews and pair programming.
- Troubleshoot and resolve software issues and defects.

CI/CD & DevOps

- Ensure continuous delivery through automated CI/CD pipelines.
- Support maintenance and development of the mobile platform.
- Work with tools such as GitLab / GitLab CI where applicable.
- Define necessary infrastructure and configurations for software development activities.
- Support implementation, testing and acceptance of required infrastructure.

Application Support & Continuous Improvement

- Define and execute 3rd-level support activities for assigned systems and applications.
- Support troubleshooting of urgent software and infrastructure issues.
- Maintain and improve the stability and performance of software solutions.
- Work with IT Production teams to improve operational aspects of developed solutions.
- Support optimization of software development processes and methodologies.
- Evaluate and adopt advanced tools and technologies where appropriate.
- Develop Proof of Concepts (PoCs) and prototypes based on new technologies.

Collaboration & Knowledge Sharing

- Collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
- Share and transfer technical knowledge with colleagues.




- Foster the exchange of software development knowledge and best practices through internal channels and networks.
- Support continuous learning, training and improvement of technical knowledge.
- Participate in mandatory regulatory training within defined timelines.

Must - Have Qualifications:

- Minimum 9 years of professional experience in software development.
- Hands-on experience with Swift and SwiftUI.
- Strong experience of Combine Framework.
- Experience with RxSwift, RxCocoa, or other reactive frameworks.
- Strong understanding of up-to-date software architectures and development concepts/processes.
- Expert knowledge of relevant development tools and programming languages.
- Experience with software quality tools such as Sonar and Fortify.
- Experience with SwiftUI OR extensive experience with Jetpack Compose.
- Experience with Code Reviews and Pair Programming.
- Experience with Automated CI/CD Pipelines.
- Experience with GitLab and Infrastructure Configuration.
- Deep knowledge of respective development domain (Web, Mobile, Middleware, API, Platform, CRM, CMS etc.)
- Experience with software testing, including unit test design/execution and E2E testing.
- Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience with Objective-C (Nice to have)
- Experience with GitLab CI.
- Basic knowledge of developing mobile applications in banking, trading or investment domains.
- Experience with emerging mobile technologies and advanced development tools.
- Basic knowledge of IT Cybersecurity and Secure Software Development.
