is an independent, non-profit social science research institution based in New Delhi. CSPS works to democratise knowledge and support emerging scholars through research mentorship, academic writing platforms, and policy dialogues on issues of pluralism, justice, and inclusive development.
Our Internship
Program offers postgraduate students and early-career scholars structured engagement with live research projects, academic writing tasks, and public policy outreach initiatives. Internship Details- Duration: September 2025 - December 2025 16 hours/Week- Location: New Delhi (for offline interns) Aimed at Skill Development Key Responsibilities
Interns will be expected to engage across three core work streams:
- Academic Writing and Content Development
1. Draft original research articles for the CSPS website (themes: minority rights, public policy, inclusive development, SDGs).
2. Assist with literature reviews, book reviews, seminar reports, and research proposals under CSPS supervision. Outreach, Communications, and Fundraising Support
1. Assist in day-to-day outreach across academic, civil society, and policy domains.
2. Support external communications: email drafting, event follow-ups, social media content suggestions.
3. Help coordinate fundraising proposals and research partnership documents.
Research Project Assistance- Work on assigned research topics.
- Literature review, data collection support, and assisting with fieldwork where applicable. Teaching Assistant (TA) support for research workshops and seminars.
All interns must participate in 4 Compulsory Workshops as part of the internship program: Academic Writing Workshop Research Methodology Workshop- Core Subject Workshop (Relevant to Social Science Disciplines)
- Applications Workshop (SOP Writing, Research Proposals, Fellowship/PhD Applications) What You Will Learn- Academic and policy writing skills
- Literature review and book review techniques Seminar reporting and documentation Research proposal writing- Statement of Purpose (SOP) development for higher education
- Coordination and teamwork in an academic-public policy setting
- Publication Opportunity: Best-performing interns may be offered the chance to publish on the CSPS website or related platforms.
- Certificate of Completion: Issued upon successful participation and submission of required reports.
- Skilled Exposure: Work directly with CSPS s academic and outreach teams, professors, and research fellows.
- - Must be currently pursuing or have recently completed a Master s degree (in Humanities, Social Sciences, Development Studies, Public Policy, Law, or related fields).
- Strong interest in research, writing, and public policy engagement.

- Attendance: Compulsory participation in all 4 workshops and program activities.
- Reporting: Submission of a final internship report is mandatory.
- Coordination: Interns will help coordinate between CSPS professors, visiting academics, and other students as part of the learning process.
