Role & responsibilities
Clinical Care
- Diagnose and manage acute and chronic medical conditions in adults.
- Provide evidence-based treatment for common illnesses including respiratory
infections, diabetes, hypertension, thyroid disorders, dyslipidemia, gastrointestinal disorders, and musculoskeletal conditions.
- Manage patients with multiple co-morbidities through comprehensive care plans.
- Perform comprehensive history taking and physical examinations.
- Interpret laboratory investigations, ECGs, X-rays, and other diagnostic reports.
- Identify medical emergencies and stabilize patients before referral when required.
- Refer patients appropriately to specialists while ensuring continuity of care.
Preventive Healthcare
- Conduct annual health check-ups and executive health assessments.
- Promote preventive healthcare through lifestyle counseling.
- Assess risk factors for cardiovascular disease, diabetes, obesity, and cancer.
- Recommend age-appropriate screening and immunization.
- Counsel patients regarding nutrition, exercise, smoking cessation, alcohol
moderation, stress management, and sleep hygiene.
Chronic Disease Management
- Develop individualized treatment plans.
- Monitor treatment outcomes through regular follow-ups.
- Ensure adherence to clinical guidelines.
- Optimize medication management.
- Educate patients regarding disease management and medication compliance.
Patient Experience
- Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care.
- Communicate diagnosis and treatment plans clearly.
- Address patient concerns effectively.
- Maintain high patient satisfaction scores.
- Encourage long-term patient relationships and continuity of care.
Clinical Documentation
- Maintain accurate electronic medical records (EMR).
- Document consultation notes, diagnoses, prescriptions, and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with legal, ethical, and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information.
Quality & Safety
- Adhere to infection control protocols.
- Participate in clinical audits and quality improvement initiatives.
- Follow evidence-based clinical pathways.

Collaboration
- Work closely with nurses, dietitians, physiotherapists, psychologists, and other
allied health professionals.
- Participate in multidisciplinary case discussions.
- Support front office teams with clinical guidance when necessary.
- Coordinate referrals with specialists and hospitals.
Business & Operational Responsibilities
- Support preventive health programs and chronic disease clinics.
- Participate in corporate health initiatives.
- Contribute to patient retention and continuity of care.
- Promote wellness packages and preventive screening programs ethically.
- Help achieve clinical quality and operational KPIs.
Teaching & Continuous Learning
- Participate in Continuing Medical Education (CME).
- Mentor junior doctors and nursing staff.
- Conduct patient education sessions and community awareness programs.
- Stay updated with current clinical guidelines and best practices.

Preferred candidate profile
Qualifications
- MBBS with MD/DNB in Internal Medicine
- Valid medical registration with the appropriate medical council
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (mandatory)
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification (preferred)
Experience
- 210 years of post-MD/DNB clinical experience
- Experience in primary care, family medicine, outpatient clinics, or multispecialty
hospitals preferred
- Experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) is desirable
