Role Description The Interior Estimator is a full-time, on-site role based in Chennai. This role is responsible for preparing detailed cost estimates for interior fit-out and manufacturing projects by reviewing drawings, specifications, and tender documents. Day-to-day tasks include quantity take-offs, material and labor cost analysis, obtaining vendor quotations, and preparing comparative statements.

The Interior

Estimator will collaborate with design, project management, procurement, and production teams to ensure estimates are accurate, competitive,



and aligned with project timelines. The role also involves supporting bid submissions, updating cost databases, refining estimation templates, and providing pricing inputs during client meetings and negotiations.

Qualifications

- Demonstrated experience in cost estimation or quantity surveying for interior fit-out, joinery, or construction projects.
- Strong proficiency in reading and interpreting architectural, interior, and MEP drawings and specifications.
- Solid skills in quantity take-off, rate analysis, and preparing BOQs and cost breakdowns.
- Familiarity with estimation or construction software, spreadsheets, and basic project management tools.
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Civil Engineering, Interior Design, Quantity Surveying, or a related field.
- Effective communication and negotiation skills for coordinating with vendors, contractors, and internal teams.
- High attention to detail, numerical accuracy, and ability to work with tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Prior experience in commercial, retail, or hospitality interiors in the Chennai or broader Indian market is an advantage.
