– Instrumentation Engineer

Position: Instrumentation Engineer – Mid/Senior Level Experience: 6–12 Years

Qualification: B.E./B.Tech – Instrumentation & Control / Electronics & Instrumentation

Location: Plant Location

CTC: ₹6–8 LPA

Reporting To: Plant Head / Maintenance Head

Industry Preference: PET Recycling / Plastics / Polyester / Textiles / Paper / Chemical / Continuous Process Manufacturing

Key Responsibilities

Instrumentation & Automation

- Maintain and troubleshoot plant instrumentation.
- Work on PLC, SCADA and HMI systems.
- Handle VFDs and control systems.
- Maintain temperature, pressure, flow and level instruments.
- Work with control valves and actuators.
- Handle sensors and transmitters.
- Calibration and preventive maintenance.
- Instrument loop checking.
- Automation improvement and optimization.

Plant Maintenance

- Preventive and breakdown maintenance.
- Minimize instrumentation-related downtime.
- Maintain critical spare inventory.




- Troubleshoot recurring equipment failures.
- Coordinate with electrical and mechanical maintenance teams.
- Support plant shutdowns and commissioning.

Projects & Improvements

- Installation and commissioning of new instruments.
- Automation upgrades.
- PLC/SCADA modifications.
- Energy and process optimization.
- Improve plant monitoring and data collection.
- Support recent machinery/project installations.

Candidate Profile

Hands-on experience in an operating manufacturing plant is strongly preferred. The candidate should be comfortable working on the shop floor and independently diagnosing instrumentation and automation issues.
