Role Description The Instructor for Lab role is a full-time, on-site position based at the RNS Institute of Technology campus in Bengaluru. The instructor will supervise and guide students during laboratory sessions, demonstrate experiments, ensure secure and proper use of equipment, and maintain an organized lab environment.

Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing lab materials, assisting with practical assignments, clarifying concepts related to lab work, and supporting faculty in integrating lab activities with the curriculum. The role also involves monitoring student performance in the lab, enforcing safety protocols, documenting lab usage, and coordinating with technical staff for maintenance and inventory of laboratory resources.



The instructor will contribute to continuous improvement of lab practices to enhance hands-on learning and student outcomes.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong Laboratory Skills, including handling equipment, conducting experiments, and enforcing safety procedures.
- Candidates should possess effective Communication skills to explain concepts clearly, guide students, and collaborate with faculty and staff.
- Candidates should possess Teaching and Education skills to support student learning, provide practical instruction, and assist in assessments related to lab work.
- Candidates should possess Curriculum Development capabilities to align lab activities with course objectives and suggest improvements to practical components.
- Relevant academic qualification in engineering or science, or a related technical discipline (e.g., Bachelor’s or Master’s degree) is preferred.
- Prior experience in academic laboratories or technical training environments is beneficial.
- Ability to manage multiple lab sessions, maintain accurate records, and use basic computer applications for documentation and reporting.
- Commitment to student-centered learning, attention to detail, and adherence to institutional policies and safety standards.
