Role Description The Information Technology Engineer will be responsible for managing and maintaining the organization’s IT infrastructure on-site at the Mysore location. This full-time role includes monitoring networks and systems, diagnosing and resolving technical issues, and providing hands-on support for hardware, software, and connectivity problems.

The engineer will implement and maintain network security measures, ensure system reliability and data protection, and support users with technical assistance and training when needed. In addition, the role involves coordinating with vendors, documenting IT processes, participating in system upgrades, and contributing to the planning and execution of technology initiatives that support the organization’s research and program activities.

- Sound knowledge of operating systems (Windows, Linux), hardware components, and common enterprise software tools.
- Ability to diagnose and resolve issues independently, prioritize tasks, and maintain clear documentation.
- Effective communication skills and a collaborative mindset to support diverse teams and stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Relevant industry certifications (such as CompTIA Network+, Security+, or similar) are an advantage.
