& Summary:
PwC India is seeking a highly skilled Data Governance Consultant with hands-on experience in designing, configuring,
and implementing Data Governance, Data Catalog, and Data Quality solutions. This is a technical role focused on leveraging market-leading data governance and catalog tools to support enterprise data governance, data quality, and data catalog processes.
Responsibilities:
- Build, configure, and deploy data governance solutions leveraging the DG platform tailored to complex enterprise requirements.
- Configure data domains, org units, business glossaries, workflows, data classification, technical lineage, and semantic lineage to enforce data governance frameworks and policies.
- Develop and customize DG integrations with enterprise systems through APIs, connectors, and data integration tools.
- Perform data profiling, data quality validations, and build data quality rules and scorecards using best practices.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize DG workflows and integrations to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and process efficiency.
- Onboard data sources into DG and DQ platforms, including ETL/ELT pipeline setup and metadata ingestion.
Mandatory skill sets:
- Hands-on experience configuring and implementing Data Governance and Data Catalog features including domains, lineage, workflows, and data quality rules.
- Strong knowledge of data governance concepts such as metadata management, data stewardship, policy management, and data quality.
- Experience integrating DG tools with enterprise data sources and external systems using APIs, web services, or ETL tools.
- Proficiency in data profiling, data quality validations, and metadata ingestion.
- Hands-on experience in one or more DG/DQ tools such as Collibra, Informatica, Alation, Purview, or related tools.
Preferred skill sets:
- Professional certification in market-leading DG/DQ tools such as Informatica, Collibra, Alation, Purview, or Talend.
- Experience with SQL, Python, or other scripting languages relevant to workflow customization and integrations.
- Familiarity with ETL tools such as Azure Data Factory, SSIS, Informatica, or Talend to support data integration.
- Knowledge of cloud environments such as Azure or AWS where DG platforms are deployed.
- Understanding of the overall data management ecosystem including Data Quality, Master Data Management (MDM), and Data Governance frameworks.
Years of experience required: 3 - 8 years
