Designation: Import Executive

Department: Import / Commercial

Location: Ahmedabad

Experience: 3-4 Years

Education: Graduate – preferably B.Com / B.Sc. / equivalent

Reporting To: Manager – Commercial / Import

Key Responsibilities

Handle end-to-end import documentation and shipment coordination.

Review and verify import documents including B/L, Invoice, Packing List, Certificates and related documents.

Coordinate with CHA for import cargo clearance and ensure timely delivery.

Track import shipments, vessel schedules, arrival status and clearance status.

Follow up with shipping lines, CHA, freight forwarders and other logistics partners.

Coordinate for import cargo inspection and CFS/port-related activities whenever required.

Verify original documents as per company requirements.

Maintain accurate records and reports of import shipments and their status.

Coordinate with suppliers/exporters for required shipping and commercial documents.

Check documentation accuracy before submission to CHA, shipping line or other concerned parties.

Prepare and maintain import-related reports, shipment trackers and documentation records.





Coordinate internally with Accounts, Purchase, Stores/Warehouse and other concerned departments for smooth clearance and receipt of imported material.

Ensure timely follow-up on pending documents, clearance issues and shipment-related requirements.

Maintain proper filing and documentation of all import transactions.

Required Skills

Good knowledge of import documentation and procedures.

Experience in handling CHA and customs clearance coordination.

Valuable understanding of shipping documents and shipment processes.

Strong follow-up and coordination skills.

Good knowledge of MS Office / Excel.

Good communication skills.

Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy.

Ability to manage multiple shipments and deadlines simultaneously.

Preferred Experience

Experience in a manufacturing/importing company will be preferred.

Experience in handling regular commercial imports, raw materials or industrial goods will be an advantage.

Salary: As per experience and company norms.

Pay: From ₹30,000.00 per month
