Role Objectives:

HR Manager with a strong generalist foundation to build and scale the people function for a growing diamond jewellery manufacturing business. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who understands the unique rhythms of manufacturing and craft-driven operations — shop floor karigars (artisans), quality and production teams, export compliance, and a lean corporate office — and who can bring startup-style speed and analytical rigor to a traditionally run industry.

Role Responsibilities

- Own the end-to-end HR generalist charter across manufacturing (shop floor/karigars) and corporate teams: hiring, onboarding, performance management, employee relations, compliance, and offboarding
- Design and scale HR systems, policies, and SOPs to support growth in headcount across production units and design/export teams
- Partner with production and business leaders on manpower planning, shift/attendance management, and workforce budgeting
- Build and own HR dashboards and metrics — attrition (including shop-floor attrition), engagement, hiring TAT, cost per hire — and use data to drive decisions
- Drive performance management cycles (goal-setting, appraisals,



calibration) suited to both corporate and manufacturing staff
- Manage statutory compliance (Factories Act, PF, ESI, Bonus Act, gratuity) relevant to manufacturing units, payroll inputs, and HR audits
- Build engagement, safety, and welfare initiatives tailored to artisans and shop-floor employees, alongside corporate culture programs
- Act as a trusted advisor to leadership on people risks, succession, and scaling decisions as the business grows.

Minimum Qualification: MBA/PGDBMS Desired Qualification: MBA/PGDM in HR from a top-tier B-school

Experience

- 5+ years of HR experience with solid generalist exposure (not limited to a single specialization like L&D; or C&B;)

Mandatory Skills

- HR Generalist expertise (hiring, onboarding, performance, ER, compliance, offboarding)
- Startup/scale-up exposure with proven headcount growth handled
- Solid analytical skills — Excel/Sheets, HR metrics, data-backed decisions
- Statutory compliance knowledge (Factories Act, PF, ESI, Bonus Act, Gratuity)
- Manpower planning & workforce budgeting
- Stakeholder management across shop-floor and leadership levels
- Performance management cycle ownership (goals, appraisals, calibration)

Salary: 8,40,000/- LPA
