We are looking for a hands-on and experienced HR Business Partner to join our growing IT organization. In this role, you will partner closely with engineering and business leaders while owning the complete employee lifecycle and helping shape effective HR practices as the company scales.
You should be comfortable working independently in a fast-paced setting, managing multiple HR functions, and taking full ownership across employee relations, performance management, recruitment support, engagement, compliance, and day-to-day HR operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with engineering and business leaders to align people practices with team and organizational goals
- Own the end-to-end employee lifecycle (Hire to Retire)
- Drive the full performance management cycle goal setting, continuous feedback, appraisals, and Performance Improvement Plans (PIPs) where needed
- Serve as the primary point of contact for employee relations, grievances, and conflict resolution
- Support hiring managers with recruitment coordination and ensure a smooth candidate-to-employee experience
- Design and implement employee engagement initiatives suited to a small, agile team culture
- Support compensation reviews, salary benchmarking, and benefits administration
- Maintain and update HR policies and ensure statutory compliance,
including POSH and applicable labour laws
- Track key HR metrics (attrition, engagement, hiring velocity, etc.) and provide actionable insights to leadership
- Identify learning needs and support Learning & Development initiatives
Required Qualifications
- 3–5 years of experience as an HR Business Partner or HR Generalist
- Experience in an IT, technology, or startup environment preferred
- Strong understanding of performance management, employee relations, and talent management
- Working knowledge of Indian labour laws and statutory compliance requirements (including POSH)
- Ability to work independently in a lean team with minimal process or supervision
- Hands-on experience with an HRMS/HR tool (GreytHR or similar platforms)
- Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, and sound judgment in handling confidential matters
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in HR, Business Administration, or a related field
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in a small or one-person HR team
- Full-stack HR generalist exposure (recruitment, L&D;, employee relations, compliance, and operations)
- Experience supporting HR in a growing technology or startup environment
