Position: HRIS Workday Analyst(Contractor)
Role Description
This role is a contract assignment at Palo Alto Networks. Contractors will not be employed by Palo Alto Networks but through our trusted staffing partners.

Join Palo Alto Networks' Global People Operations Team as a Senior HR and Reporting Analyst (Contract), focusing on Talent Acquisition. You'll be the pivotal force in managing and surfacing data from Workday, Workday Recruit, and BigQuery to meet HR’s needs. This role demands a detail-oriented, technically adept professional who thrives on solving complex analytical and reporting challenges.
Leverage your expertise in Workday, Workday Report Builder and BigQuery, to design, develop, and maintain critical reports. Your ability to manage and report on sensitive data with professionalism, coupled with your strong communication skills, will ensure reporting requirements are accurately understood and executed. Drive data-driven decision-making, optimize reporting processes, and ensure data security and compliance within a dynamic global setting.
Your contributions will directly impact the efficiency and effectiveness of our HR and talent acquisition strategies.
Your Impact:
- System Configuration & Maintenance: Configuring Workday modules (Core HCM, Benefits, Compensation, Talent) to support HR functional needs.
- Data Integrity & Reporting: Generating, maintaining, and auditing data to ensure accuracy; creating complex, automated reports and dashboards for HR insights.
- Support & Troubleshooting: Acting as Tier 1/Tier 2 support for user issues,
resolving technical problems, and managing system security.
- Process Improvement: Analyzing current HR workflows to optimize, automate, and enhance system usability, often using Agile methodology.
- Upgrades & Testing: Planning and executing testing for biannual Workday releases and system enhancements.
- Collaboration: Partnering with HR, IT, and vendors to implement new functionality and ensure compliance.
Required Skills
- Eperience: Proven experience with Workday HRIS administration, including configuration and reporting (HCM, Prism, or modules).
- Technical Knowledge: Understanding of HR processes (payroll, benefits, recruiting) combined with HRIS technology skills.
- Analytical Skills: Strong ability to analyze data, identify trends, and create actionable insights.
- Communication & Collaboration: Ability to translate user requirements into technical specs and provide training.
